545 - Waters Edge Cottage. On the plaza

This is a purpose built, free standing Cottage. One of six cottages and apartments available at 545 Esplanade. We offer FREE, FAST, RELIABLE & UNLIMITED WIFI to guests. It's own car/boat port next to your cottage, private washing line and grassed area. Your private and tranquil deck will be a perfect sunny spot to kick off your shoes and relax. The car and/or boat port is great for security right next to your cottage. Large enough for both boat and car (max width 2.4 m), tap and hose fittings for boat washing.
You have your own washing machine and washing liquid, pegs and laundry basket are supplied.
We supply a light breakfast of cereal and fresh milk and also teas/coffee and sugar.
The queen size bed and single beds are very comfortable and all beds have freshly laundered and pressed linen to add a bit of luxury to your stay as well as fluffy white towels to give you that hotel feel. Beach towels are also provided.
The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a feast and the bathroom is set out for safe and easy access to the shower, perfect for people who are less sturdy on their feet.
Whale Watching Season kicks off mid July and finishes mid October. If this has been on your bucket list then spend some time with us enjoying our beautiful sunny Queensland winter days and experience these majestic and wonderful creatures close up. Hervey Bay is known as the 'Best Place for Close Encounters with Whales' in the world and it won't disappoint!
Being on the Esplanade, you have a bus running every hour to the main shopping area and onto Maryborough. The larger clubs such as the Boat Club, RSL and beach House all have regular a courtesy bus which will pick up and drop you back home free of charge. The Fraser Island Tours and Whale Watching Tours will pick up and drop off near enough outside your apartment so no need to walk too far. Hervey Bay is also lucky enough to have several Driver 05 services which are fantastic. You drive to your destination (within Hervey Bay) and they will drive you and your car back at the same rate as a taxi. Fraser Coast Airport is a 10 minute drive from the Esplanade, taxis are available.
URANGAN Shopping Centre is a 2 minute ride away which has everything you may require including a Post Office, Chemist, Newsagent, Bottle Shop, Butchers and Woolworths. You also have Cafes, Bakers, Pubs and restaurants in walking distance.
The 17 kilometre shared walkway and cycle way along the Esplanade is perfect if you want to hire bikes which are close at hand too.
The Botanical Gardens are in walking distance and is home to aquatic wildlife and bird life. These gardens have much improved over the last 3 years and also has a Chinese Garden and Orchid House.

Great position and extremely clean accommodation. Host was very friendly, hospitable and was available if we ever needed anything - we didnā€™t because it was already so well equipped. A very enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the self-contained cottage and were thoroughly impressed. It's not often you get accommodation that is not only comfortable but has everything you could possibly need. Great location and perfect for us whilst travelling for work. Would definitely stay again whether for work or pleasure :)

Communication faultless and quick. Check in effortless. The unit was the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Very comfortable and in a great location. Sarah checked with us to make sure everything was ok and it certainly was. We can't recommend this stay high enough.

We stayed 3 nights as a mini getaway from our busy work and to celebrate our sonā€™s 1st Bday. The cottage was absolutely what we needed. Sarah was so friendly and got back to us so promptly. Owners put some extra cute things (bday message on the fridge door, Sand toy for Baby and the chocolates). So thoughtful! It was very quite and tranquil. Loved how there was everything in the cottage (repellent, sunscreen, Clothes detergent, toys for kids and games for adults, etc.) We would stay here next time we visit Hervey Bay :)

Beautiful area, right across the beach. Nice calm water, peaceful surroundings. Close to grocery stores, eateries, botanic garden, pier and markets on Wednesday & Saturday. The cottage had everything that we needed & was very clean, comfortable and tidy. Sarah is very friendly and helpful. We would love to come here again!

We absolutely loved the cottage! It exceeded our expectation. It was all the extras that made it that bit more special- chocolate/ water on arrival, kids toys, children's books (which our son loved), cereal, biscuits and olive oil/salt/pepper etc. Our host was amazing too - welcoming, helpful and she'd thought of everything! Such a great, quiet location! Many thanks for a comfy and cosy home away from home.

Beautiful unit - extremely clean, modern and well equipped I appreciated the little things - breakfast cereal, salt pepper and oil, tea and coffee and REAL milk! The cottages are lovely and directly across from the beach, though there is no view of the ocean. Not sure about the places in the central building which didnā€™t seem as nice as the cottages. The owners were very helpful and quite gracious.

So many wonderful surprises awaited. Perfect location across the road from beach...walk to cafes, bars, takeaways. Slick coastal decor with extra bits for convenience (fresh milk, tea, coffee, cereals, shampoo, conditioner, soap, gels) also gorgeous beach towels !
