"I stayed at the Royal Tunbridge Wells Hotel for nearly two weeks, which gave me a very complete perspective of the experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, making it pleasant for a longer stay. However, the hotel was undergoing renovations during my visit, which unfortunately impacted the overall experience. There were days without hot water, days without water at all, and even days without heating — which was quite inconvenient. Regarding the restaurant, the food is good and the quality of the ingredients is noticeable. However, for stays longer than four or five days, the menu becomes quite repetitive, as it is relatively limited. The same applies to breakfast — while everything served is tasty and well-prepared, the lack of variety makes it feel monotonous over time. The biggest disappointment was the Sunday roast. Given how much it is promoted, I expected it to be a highlight, but it was quite the opposite. Not only did it not meet the restaurant’s usual weekday standard, but the service that day was also disorganized. The staff seemed inattentive, dishes were brought out without coordination, and we ended up eating cold food. Overall, it was a frustrating experience. In summary, the hotel has its strengths — especially the room comfort and food quality — but the renovation disruptions and inconsistencies in service significantly affected the stay."
