As you pass the Cloud Nine sign and wind your way up the quiet road, you’ll leave the everyday behind and enter a world where pine and oak trees tower above, ancient rock formations rise from the earth, and the peaceful rhythm of nature takes center stage.



Tucked a half mile beyond the entrance, The Spruce Suite offers a tranquil setting set apart from the main road, allowing for an immersive outdoor experience without sacrificing comfort. Your tent is surrounded by the quiet hum of wilderness, and if you’re lucky, you may spot a deer grazing nearby, hear the distant call of a wild turkey, or even catch a glimpse of a fox weaving through the trees.



Inside the tent, you'll find a comfortable queen size bed, a mini fridge and kitchenette space, and coffee maker, creating a cozy and welcoming space to unwind after a day of adventure.



Whether you're traveling as a couple, with friends, or solo, this is a place to settle in, slow down, and truly reconnect. Shared bathroom facilities are a short 100 yard walk from the tent.



Cloud Nine Camping backs up to Black Hills National Forest on three sides, giving you direct access to miles of historic logging trails that wind through untouched terrain. The land is quiet and uncrowded - perfect for those looking to escape the busier tourist routes while still being close to the area’s most iconic destinations. From your tent, you’re just minutes from Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Lakota Lake, and Center Lake. You’ll also find Hill City, Custer, and Rapid City all within a short drive, making it easy to blend adventure and relaxation during your stay.

The water at this property comes from a natural well source - while safe and filtered, it may have some natural discoloration due to local minerals.

As this is a nature-immersed experience, occasional encounters with bugs are possible despite routine pest management.

Pets are welcome!

Your furry friends are welcome! A pet fee will apply to all reservations with pets, we kindly ask that all pets are declared prior to arrival. To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, pets must be leashed and not left unattended in the tent.



Summer Heat Advisory

During the summer months, temperatures can increase, and Heat Advisories may be issued. If you're traveling with young children, older adults, are pregnant, or have heat-sensitive medical conditions, we encourage you to consider the forecast before your stay.



Embrace Nature

As this is an outdoor glamping experience, you may occasionally encounter insects or wildlife despite our regular cleaning and preventative measures.



Fire Ban Notice

Local burn bans may be implemented at any time due to weather conditions and wildfire risk. These restrictions are issued by local authorities and are outside of our control. If a burn ban is in effect during your stay, campfires and other open flames will not be permitted.



Our Resident Cats

Friendly farm cats live on the property and help keep the camp free of mice. They may occasionally visit your tent, so guests with cat allergies should keep this in mind. Please don't feed or bring the cats into the accommodations, as they are outdoor cats and are not house-trained. If they cause any issues during your stay, please let us know.
