This is a great little place to stay! The house was very nicely decorated in a beach theme. The owners have furnished the house with everything you need and added a lot of nice touches for your entertainment and comfort. Communication with the owner was excellent! I highly recommend this property!

I stayed here while working an event at Lucas Oil Speedway, and it was a perfect fit. The one-bedroom cottage was quiet, tucked away, and had everything I needed. The location was super convenient for my work, and the property itself was well-stocked with lots of thoughtful amenities. Everything worked perfectly, and the space was clean and comfortable.Although I had to cut my trip short due to a last-minute event cancellation, I really appreciated the host's excellent communication throughout. There were some storms during my stay, but the outdoor seating areas looked like theyā€™d be great when the weatherā€™s niceā€”Iā€™d love to come back and enjoy them next time.All around, a great place to stay. Iā€™d definitely book again next time Iā€™m in the area.

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was beautiful and close to the boat ramp. Lots of parking so you could plug the boat in. Very clean and decorated so pretty. Lots of dishes and pots and pans. We couldn't have been happier with the location and the cabin. We will stay there again when we go to the lake.. The cabins name is Stowaway and the owners are fantastic. They also has a boat shop if you need anything he definitely would be able to help you .

The Stowaway

This is our 2nd stay at the cottage. They have made changes with an open roof over the patio in the front. Many games, movies, & books to enjoy. A perfect place to getaway for a weekend or week. Very clean!! Nice yard for your dog to roam in!! We highly recommend The Stowaway!!

Beautiful

I was impressed by how much I loved this place. After booking I was expecting a nice place to stay but was wonderfully surprised by just how nice it is. The cabin felt new, it was very clean, taken care of very well and had everything I would ever want. The layout and decor makes it feel a lot larger then it is which is very nice. The views of the lake are breathtaking (especially around sunset) and with just a short walk to the water I was able to enjoy both the lake and privacy. I cannot wait to book again and spend more time her.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at your cottage. It was very clean and comfortable. Everything that we were looking for to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We would stay there again without question. Do yourself a favor and eat at the Crappie Hole right down the road!

This is a great place to stay if fishing the lake. Close to boat ramp and trading post for all your needs. Easy to get to lots of parking very nice and friendly owners. Will stay again.

Great Getaway

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here and it doesn't disappoint. Great location. Not too far from the boat ramp. Hosts are absolutely wonderful. Can't wait to stay again.

Great little house!

Second visit, even better than the first!

We stayed at the cottage a little over a year ago and enjoyed it both times. The front porch is a wonderful addition and the fence in area makes it feel like an oasis. The cottage is immaculate, and I think you are a master at utilizing space well. You make it feel so homey and roomy with such a small footprint.

The cottage was decorated so nicely and we felt very welcome. I will say the master bed is quite uncomfortable but there are 2 pullout couches to choose from. The amenities were great!!!

1st VRBO stay

We simply loved the Stowaway by the Lake!! Pictures are spot on, but had more room than expected. Our dog loved the big yard. There was also extra dishes for her food & water! Nice big tv in living room with a lot of channels. Nice kitchen area, but we didnā€™t get a chance to use it. This was a long weekend to attend Drag Boat races at Lucas Oil Complex. Owners were super responsive! We hope to stay again when in the area. This place is 5 stars!!

Wonderful Weekend Get Away

We loved our stay at Stowaway! The whole experience was wonderful! The owners thought of everything which made for a really nice stay! The check-in/out process was very easy and the owners were very easy to get a hold of if we needed something. We loved the lake decor and the place was quaint yet spacious enough for my family of four. The home was very comfortable with lots of amenities included like towels, blankets, pillows, and even a blow dryer. The kitchen was filled with dishes, silverware, and all the necessary tools and appliances we needed. We were able to cook several meals while we were there. The place was quiet, yet located near enough to the swimming beach and marina. We spent one day at the beach and the other day we rented a pontoon boat. We were very lucky that the weather was perfect to light the fire pit both evenings we were there. The kids (teenagers) rode all around on the bikes exploring the neighborhood. They found a cove right across the street and rode the bikes up to the Trade Post to get some snacks. We had a GREAT weekend getaway and are already talking about coming back again! Thank you for the comfort and hospitality! We loved it!

Refreshing Piece of Paradise!

My husband & I were looking for a simple, relaxing getaway that wasn't too far from home. After going through dozens of places in Missouri, we settled on this cabin close to Pomme de Terre Lake. Pomme de Terre is a low-key, easygoing community; there are a few restaurants, but this isn't a tourist spot, which was PERFECT for us. Outside of renting a boat for a bit, we kept things very relaxed, which was literally what the doctor ordered. The cabin was absolutely adorable, and had pretty much everything we needed. We stopped by a local grocery store on our way in, and were able to make a lot of our meals ourselves, keeping our overall costs way down. Even when we went out, though, the local restaurants are inexpensive. As far as the cabin itself, every decoration was on theme, & so sweet! The fire pit and BBQ grill were perfect for us, and they had quite a selection of board games that we had a blast playing. We didn't watch much TV, but they had a few movies we enjoyed with our son. I'm not big on frills or fancy things; I'd rather have more fun on our vacations then waste money on fine dining and chandeliers, so this was my kind of vacation. People say, "simple" like it's a bad thing, but in our complicated lives, a "simple" cabin and vacation like this one couldn't be more appreciated. The cabin made it possible for my family to have true, quality time together, & that was absolutely the best. We would definitely recommend this place and Pomme de Terre!
