"This is such a lovely retreat, all credit to manager Kelly and her family. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and it was much appreciated. The refurbished rooms were nice, clean and warm and the private shower was awesome. We had an awesome time and were lucky to see two kiwi on the grass near the bush even though it was raining, and we heard lots more. It was really magical!"

"The property easily accommodated 12 of us. It is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for a big group. Despite the rain every day the spa was greatly appreciated by all. Ngunguru is a great place to holiday with easy access to many walks and beaches. Two of the boys learned to surf at Matapouri. A visit to Whale Bay is a must.The property is more rustic than we had expected from the photos but views are great and each room has plenty of light. We appreciated the owner...
