The holiday home Deichkind 25 is located close to nature, directly near the North Sea, in the peaceful village of Hedwigenkoog near Büsum. Here in the countryside, you can relax wonderfully while enjoying a wide view over the biologically farmed fields.
The house has two entrances: through the front door, you enter the hallway with an adjacent wardrobe and access to the fully equipped laundry room with a washing machine and condenser dryer. From the hallway, there are two entrances to the bright living and dining area. The dining area features a large table and a cozy bench, connected to the open-plan kitchen and a spacious bathroom with underfloor heating and a walk-in shower.
From the kitchen, you can go directly into the garden through the second door. A fly screen protects against unwanted visitors here. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances (including a double air fryer) and utensils to prepare a delicious breakfast and meals.
The old wooden floor in the house has been renovated and gives the rooms a hyggelige warmth. The high-quality furnishings, including a large sofa bed, armchair, and wooden furniture, invite you to relax and feel at home. Of course, the living room has a large TV, a small selection of books and games, and a Bluetooth speaker with radio and wireless phone charging.
If the weather outside is unpleasant, you can use the stove—firewood can be purchased from the owner for a small fee.
Upstairs are the two bedrooms: one with two single beds, a built-in wardrobe, and a TV, and the other, spacious master bedroom, with an en-suite shower bathroom and another TV. From the bed, you can enjoy a view of the stars through the roof windows.
The parking space right next to the house ensures very short distances with luggage. A wall box for charging electric vehicles is available for a fee.
The house has been equipped with a fiber optic connection, which can be used.
A walk through the Summerkoog leads to the outer dike at the North Sea and the Wadden Sea National Park. The Hedwigenkoog swimming area features a staircase into the mudflats, an outdoor shower for rinsing off after mudflat walks or swimming, a small toilet hut, and a playground.
Access is free of tourist tax, and as is typical in northern Germany, you can relax here among sheep on the dike. In just 2 minutes by car or 5 minutes by bike, you can reach the green beach from the house.
Deichkind 25 was lovingly renovated in 2022 and leaves nothing to be desired. Located directly on the old dike, the house has neighbors on only one side and offers a view of nature and fields. Surrounded by a large garden with a pond and sun terrace, it provides plenty of space to unwind. The terrace is furnished with high-quality garden furniture, a parasol, and a charcoal grill. Additionally, there are 2 sun loungers, and for children, a balance bike, go-kart, and a ride-on car are available. Your own bicycles can be parked in the open shed in the garden, which is not lockable!
The lawn is large enough for various playful activities. How about a barbecue evening among fruit and deciduous trees or making s'mores and bread on the fire bowl?
Hedwigenkoog is about 8 km from Büsum. The crab fishing town is the starting point for boat trips to seal colonies and to Helgoland, Germany’s only high-sea island. Day trips can be booked daily during the season. The museum harbor, the adventure wave pool Meerzeit, various events, restaurants, and shops invite you to explore Büsum.
From Hedwigenkoog, it’s just a short trip to the Eidersperrwerk, the Eiderstedt Peninsula, and Sankt-Peter-Ording, Germany’s largest sandy beach with its iconic stilt houses on the shore. Water enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy here. Whether it's surfing, kite surfing, windsurfing, or sailing catamarans, there’s something for everyone. Surf schools are available in Büsum, the Meldorf Bay, and Sankt-Peter-Ording. The Dutch town of Friedrichstadt can be reached in half an hour, and Husum, the gray town by the sea with the birthplace of Theodor Storm, in about 45 minutes. In the nearby area between Büsum and Hedwigenkoog, adventure golf, footgolf, regular golf, and a bouldering hall offer entertaining activities. In the small town of Tönning on the Eider River, the Multimar Wattforum provides entertaining and educational insights into life in the North Sea and Wadden Sea. Its large aquarium and interactive stations make it a great destination for a day out, especially on bad weather days.
