"We loved our stay, the room was a perfect size for a family of four, comfortable beds and very clean. The pool was great for our children and the breakfast was a combination of are to order and buffet. The food was delicious and there were children options which was brilliant. A special mention goes to the outstanding dinner we had at their restaurant, the Marigold. The food was exceptional, both for the adults and the children meals were loved by both our daughters. Wine was perfectly chilled...

"Self check in, they emailed details before hand with clear instructions. Room was a reasonable size, plenty of storage,, an excellent tea tray. The shower/toilet was quit small but it's an old building so to be expected. The room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. The linen was clean and fresh. The bed was, oh, so comfy! "I booked on line which i wont ever do again ,the rooms are so small and badly decorated ,bathrooms need sprucing up very difficult with no shelves in bathroom ,also the stools by the kettle to high for the elderly to get up on ,i know it was a cheap price ,but honestly i would prefer travelodge ,decent chairs to sit on with plenty of teas ,coffee etc good lighting plugs by mirrors ,no tidy place to sit ,and advertising sea view had to stand on bed to see it. So for me we wouldnt stay there again...

"It sounds trite but this is truly a gem of a hotel. Beautiful location, quiet, lovely gardens, very comfortable room and first class service throughout the hotel, from welcome at reception to saying goodbye. Restaurant (Artisan Room) was very good, the staff here so very helpful and lovely with it. Food is fresh, local and well prepared and served. Could not fault it. Good wine list too. It's a beautiful old house and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
