I have stayed at the Strawberry Bank Hotel for 5 nights, and despite the sun being a deadly laser this weekend they were extremely comfortable and one of the most wonderful places I have stayed in awhile. The staff are extremely friendly. Because I was going to an event which had me wearing a lot of costumes, the cleaner saw this and got chatting to me about them. "Regina was an absolute star wonderfully sunny disposition. Helpful about where to eat. Rooms are spacious and ensuite too. Breakfast is self serve continental with a good choice, however, you can cook your own in the kitchen which has all amenities. Plenty room for parking. Big lounge room. Door leads.from Breakfast.l room out to the garden which is well maintained. Squirrels, ducks,coots and.other garden birds can be seen. A very nice place.to stay, quiet and relaxing."

"Pretty functional airport hotel. I’d say Hilton but stripped back. I didn’t have any mineral water left in my room which I would think was pretty standard for this level of hotel. It felt pretty basic. Bed was hard but I don’t really mind that. Staff were very professional. Bar staff engaging and welcoming but overall the hotel felt pretty soulless. "Breakfast menu very good, evening meals menu average but well cooked. I struggled with steps outside could have done with a slope, also no lift again struggled with stairs. Staff professional and pleasant, rooms good. "

"Room was clean and nicely presented. There is significant building work taking place so restaurant not open (which they did pre-warn me about,), and skeleton staff. However, the staff were super helpful and friendly. Everything closes at 8pm ( bar, front gates etc) so not a place to stay if you are looking to relax of an evening outside of your room. "

"Great property, very quiet location, lots of golfers on the coarse so guess its good to (not a golfer). Food was amazing (though a little pricey) and the staff were incredible. With a nice bonus of a live act in the bar on Saturday night. The only let down was the pool etc. Locker rooms in need of some TLC, the pool was absolutely freezing and the steam room didnt seem to be working. All in all though a nice hotel, in a quiet area to get away from it all. "

"Had to click on something to get to this part of the review. Never actually stayed at the hotel, but spoke to a lady called Catherine who was brilliant! We had to cancel due to family commitments, but good old Expedia wouldn’t refund as they said I was too late to do as, but I took out the cancellation cover with them which said I could cancel up to the 3/5, but they thought different. I will never use Expedia again. You need to speak to people not robots!!"
