"Having stayed a few times over the years we knew what to expect . As usual all the staff were helpful and cheerful. However we stayed in room 6 overnight on a very hot day and night so the room was very uncomfortably hot and made sleeping a problem. We did notice there was an air conditioning unit in the ceiling which was not operating and there was no way to control it. Very disappointing, it would have made a big difference on such a hot night. Nevertheless we look forward to our next stay,...

"The hotel was very clean. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Never stayed at a Days Inn before but would certainly stay with them again. Although the hotel was on the m1 we didn’t hear any traffic noise. There was no restaurant at the hotel but services was next door"

We finally found a few customers who told us that only member of staff doing front of house was getting ice cream for their daughter. "As with the Z Hotel Piccadilly, this hotel was great in all but one way: air conditioning and ice! It’s hot in the summer, friends — and it’s only going to get hotter! That means you should significantly upgrade your air-conditioning system as soon as you can; the current one is simply not up to the job. "I was travelling with family for my son’s graduation. We booked 2 twin rooms and arrived late, very tired and ready to sleep, only to find we’d been allocated doubles. "Wow! The most beautiful nights stay at The Peacock, the scenery, the room, the food, the staff. I didn't want to leave. I LOVED the little touches - the Peacock shortbread, the glass bottles for water/milk, bath salts. I've stopped in a lot of hotels and I have to say this stay beats them all. Perfect! Thanks so much.
