"I only spent one night at the Washhouse, but as soon as I entered, I felt right at home. The Washhouse was very clean and tidy, and very comfortable. I did not venture upstairs for the sake of cleanliness, but the downstairs was very nicely set up for Guests. There were lots of games and activities available for people who choose to stay longer, and the English mastiffs outside were so lovely and sweet and ready for pets! I would definitely return if I ever come back this way."

"If you’re thinking of booking, just do it! This cabin is perfectly located and has everything you need. We spent a glorious few days by the river, hiking nearby trails, and enjoying Harrisonburg. The cabin is comfortable and set up perfectly for a quiet and relaxing weekend. Fully stocked and clean it’s worth every penny. Really enjoyed our weekend there."

"The caretakers of The Birdhouse have thought of everything to make sure you are comfortable. Highly recommend. Only downside was tv did not work. Since we werent watching it anyway, it did not inconvenience us."

"Beautiful property and views. Stayed overnight with my Shepherd as we traveled back home on a long trip. Great open property to walk with my dog. Large basement rental with large kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. Plenty of TVs too! "A group of friends stayed at Big Springs B&B for a weekend trip to Highland County. The house was exactly as described, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal and we appreciated the farm-raised beef in the freezer. The setting is beautiful. We found food crumbs left on the screened in porch floor and globs of grease on the front stoop next to the grill. Many things in the house did not work well or at all.
