Come Take a Wallyday! at our cozy lake house retreat. This newly updated home comes with many great amenities to make your stay away from home as easy as 123! What's even better is the location. Right down the street from downtown Hawley, restaurants, provisions, and the renowned Wallenpaupack Brewery. Come enjoy hanging out in the backyard with a huge Chimenea, or take a quick drive to do an activity. Shopping, hiking, fishing, sightseeing, Kayaking. There are too many to list within 10 mins.

Warm and cozy with a touch of modern rustic flare best describes this newly renovated raised ranch lake house.

Inside, guests will find a brand new fully equipped kitchen ready for any cooking they plan to do. The living room adjacent to the kitchen includes a 42" Roku smart TV, an easy to use propane fireplace, games and a getaway guide that includes information on the property and local area. Also connected to the kitchen is a small but cozy dining room that can seat up to 6 guests.

Just through the rear door is the outside space. This may be one of the best aspects of the property. There is a huge custom chimenea right outside the backdoor perfect for roasting marshmallows. There is a gravel patio area that hosts a large picnic table for enjoying a nice outside dinner. Enjoy the light breeze from the the lake. Just above guests will love the Edison lights that make nights by the lake perfect and unforgettable. There is a newer 4 burner grill with provided propane.

When walking from the back on the left side of the house to the front, there is a brand new custom outdoor shower which is a crowd favorite. A little bit closer to the road is an area for trailer parking.

The entire Backyard and Game Shed are fully fenced in which is perfect for children or your four legged friends. Kids will love hanging out inside this unique place perfect for them. There you will will find foosball, Giant Jenga and more.

There are 5 kayaks and a double-person canoe at the house that can be launched at the public boat launch a short drive away (You must transport).

We do not provide firewood, but out front is a self service station with wood for sale provided by a local company (Cash or electronic payment) . This way you don't have to worry about to transporting it.

There is no lake access with the property. You must use the public beach 5 minutes away or the public Launch.

*Please note there is a $75 one-time dog fee which allows you to bring up to 2 dogs on the property during your trip. We are dog lovers but ask that you keep your furry friends off the furniture and clean up after them for the sake of other renters. Waste bags provided from dispenser in backyard. Add your dogs to the reservation for the dog fee to be applied please.

Going back inside through the front entrance you will find a full bathroom which includes a washer/dryer which you are welcome to use. Laundry Pods are provided. Making your way upstairs there will another full bath straight at the end of the hallway dividing up the master bedroom from the 2 other bedrooms. There is a closet in each of the bedrooms, while the master includes a desk to get some work done if needed as well as a 32" smart TV. The master bedroom also includes and exterior entrance that allows you to walk right outside

Your booking included sheets, pillows (2 per guest), towels (1 per guest), wash clothes (1 per guest), 3 hand towels, toiletries (body wash, shampoo, and conditioner), and some basic supplies (Dish Soap, 2 dishwasher tablets, 2 laundry tablets, 2 trash bags, 2 paper towels, 2 toilet paper rolls per bathroom, and hand soap) to get your stay started.

If you are looking for baby gear suh as pack-n-plays, high chairs, ect. We have a partnership with a local supplier that can deliver and even set them up at the property for you to use during your stay. Just let us know.

There is no lake access with the property. If you want to swim in the lake you must use the public beach 5 minutes away (MDW - LDW). For launching boats/Kayaks you can use the public Launch (1.5 miles away).

The neighborhood is walking friendly. Feel free to walk around 6th street and Paupack Point Road with your four-Legged friends. There is no Street Parking we have a paved driveway. The driveway can accommodate a maximum of 4 vehicles and 1 boat/snowmobile trailer or 5th vehicle.

As an avid renter myself I know the importance of privacy, yet knowing the owner is available at a moments notice if any issues were to arise. Because of this, transparency is key for our guests to have the absolute best experience possible. Our goal is to have a 5 start stay with each booking. With each booking there will be contactless access to the property with a digital keycode. A digital guidebook will be provided prior to the stay as well as a paper copy of the same guidebook on the coffee table. Everything will be explained in this guidebook for an easy yet rewarding experience for the guests. Should anything else arise I will be available through messaging and will be able to provide responses promptly. We take great pride in making the stay as easy as possible, and have done our best to make the property as user friendly and accommodating as possible during the recent renovations.

Walt's Landing and the surrounding communities are some of the original lakeside developments around the Lake. The Lake House resides a short drive up a dead end private street with plenty of privacy, yet is easy to get in and out. The lake itself has 52 miles of shoreline that allows fishing, boating (No HP restriction), and swimming. Rubber Duckie Boat rentals is a 7 minute drive, and Palmayra Public Beach is only 5 minutes away. Mangan Cove which is a very nice public boat launch is only a 3 minute drive and there is enough room on the property for a boat/snowmobile trailer to be parked as well. Brand New larger paved driveway/ street of November 2022 not pictured.

The Lake House is about a 2 hour drive from NYC, and a 2 and a half hour drive from Philly. Standard phone mapping apps are all effective to route your path to the Lake House. Don't hesitate to contact us for more specific directions, if needed. While in Hawley, a car is necessary to get around. There are Ubers and Lyfts available, but they are unreliable. There are a few attractions and restaurants that are walking distance from the property, but to experience most of what Hawley has to offer, you will need a vehicle.

During checkout you will see the prompt "Refundable deposit paid at property." This is an automatically generated prompt and is not the case. The Deposit is a security deposit is Authorization that is charged on the day before check-in.

**No RWD vehicles in winter months due to small hill on entrance to street and no alternative parking. Road/Driveway/Sidewalk snow does get plowed and maintained if over 3" but timing depends on storms. AWD/4WD is required in winter months if attending during snowstorms, there is no parking anywhere besides the house to leave a vehicle if you can not make it up the street, it will be towed as all private property. No refunds will be given if you can not make it to the property because of a vehicle. **

Nice home in Hawley, close to the downtown and other activities in the area. Host is responsive to questions and needs. Would recommend if you are in the Pocono region.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and located close to hiking, restaurants, etc. We enjoyed the game shed and especially the outdoor fireplace in the evenings. Would stay again.

This property was great! Clean and bright - everything seems new. This had everything we needed to relax; games, books, record player etc. Outside is even better, nice size yard that had a great firepit area - completely fenced so the dogs could run around. Loved the game shed in the back! Very quiet neighborhood but close to everything. Loved it and will be back.

We had a really nice stay! The coffee machine wasn’t working and the owners got us a new one immediately- on Christmas Eve no less! My in laws live on the lake and it’s nice for us to have a place on our own while we visit. Will book again!

The house was clean, convenient to everything and comfortable. Plenty of space and loved the game shed. Nice fenced yard for the dogs. The hosts were excellent with communication. We would definitely book this house again! 5 stars all the way around!

Thanks for Matt and Erin for hosting our first visit to the area. House was exactly as promised. Game shed was a huge hit with the two six-year olds. Backyard was perfect for a fire and s'mores.

We had a wonderful stay at Matt’s property on the lake. The house was in close proximity to the town of Hawley as well as breweries and other restaurants. We were able to bring our dog which helped with the convenience of booking this trip and property. The house had everything we needed and the outdoor fire pit made for a great night with family. I would highly recommend this property especially if you are traveling with your furry friends!

We were looking for a place to meet in the middle with enough room for all of us to spend the holidays together. The fenced yard was a big draw for the dogs. The host was very accommodating when challenges arose with the weather, lots of thoughtful little touches like the snow shovel outside where we could get it on arrival. We had a lovely time celebrating around the cozy fireplace. Close by grocery store for everything we needed.

From the moment I walked in the door and saw my name on the Chalkboard welcoming me. Matt is an outstanding host that has a beautiful home. The house is modern in every way. Kitchen, climate control. And beautifully decorated. Loaded with everything you need. Games, canoes, kayaks, and even a record player with a good collection of vinyls. We had a great time and will add this home to our lists of vacation spots.

Not often you find a cabin that’s pet friendly with a fenced in yard. The cabin was clean and comfortable, meeting the needs of my family and two dogs. We will probably be back again!

What a great place! It looks just like the pictures. Communication was great and the house was clean. They provide all the necessary amenities. There is a nice selection of games, DVDs and books. The fenced in yard was great for our dog. I wish we would have had more time to enjoy the backyard; it has a nice setup with plenty of seating and a chiminea that would have been great to build a fire. The location was great. The neighborhood was very quiet and there is very little traffic so it was easy to take my dog on a long walk. It is not only very close to downtown Hawley, but it was a quick trip to visit family in Hamlin, and we had a great dinner in downtown Honesdale.

Had a great trip here. The owners were helpful and quick to reply to messages. They’ve put a lot of work into the property and making sure it is renter friendly and comfortable amenities. Their guidebook was super for knowing what to expect at the house and had lots of good recommendations including a few places that we hadn’t heard of, and we’ve been to the area a few times! The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, dishes and utensils to make any kind of meal. They have a great dvd and game collection for kids and adults. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the bunk beds were a hit with our kids. The backyard had lots of space, and bonus fenced in yard made it easy to bring our dogs with us. It was a quiet area with a neighborhood feel, good location. Had a great stay and would definitely stay again!
