"From the moment we checked in, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was large with an excellent ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was brilliant. We only stayed for 2 nights but thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Would recommend the Hotel Mariners to anyone "

"A very well appointed inn, scenically based on the edge of the haven, run by a charming family of four who could not be more friendly or helpful. The breakfast is superb and the evening menu varied. All meals are cooked to order and prepared to a high standard. In short, a splendid place to stay within reach of numerous local attractions. We intend to return."

"What a lovely place ! The staff were very welcoming and the property and rooms were just wonderful: the room was clean and spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was a nice size with a nice sized shower. Sometimes it’s the little things that make the stay better, like good quality toilet paper, bottles of water, tea, coffee and biscuits. Nice sized TV and a good sized fridge in the room. Very quiet room and comfy bed. We both sleep very well. Breakfast was spot on, full English plus a choice...

"I’m always a tad concerned when others call a hotel quirky (what’s one person’s quirky is another person’s odd) but this word is very spy in a very positive way. I’ve never known such a relaxed hotel; the staff (with absolutely no exceptions) went out of their way to engage, chat, explain, facilitate… anything you could want. "Obviously a lot of effort has been made by the new owners to create a comfortable and upgraded environment. They are working hard and constantly on what was obviously a worn down building. Looking out from the room the gardens and view is spectacular. The room was large and comfy with great, instant hot water and lovely deep bath. Authentic home cooked curry was delicious."
