"Amazing stay and host. Stayed at this gorgeous home for the National Bike Roundup and enjoyed the space, amenities and comfort of home. When your in the vicinity and looking for a great place to stay, make this your choice."

"We absolutely loved it here! Nice and quite, great get away from the city. I knew there was farm land around but seeing the cows close was a treat!"

We brought an extra comforter because someone said the bed was uncomfortable and we slept just fine. Will definitely rent again next time we go to the river!"

"Wow, this place was more than I expected. It looked good from the ad but the attention to detail and decor was a home run. Everything we needed was there, beds were super comfortable and the whole place was immaculate. Huge gated back yard area and tons of extras. Will stay again for MS 150 (2026)"

"We brough 5 kids and 2 dogs to the Hickory House and had a fabulous time! The home is perfect, exactly what you need for a stay. We were sampling as many BBQ places as we could. Great walking distance to downtown Lockhart. Short drive to places that are too far to walk in the summer. Owners were fabulous. Very easy check in and check out. No onerous requirements for checking out. We will look forward to doing it again. "

"This property is BEAUTIFUL. The drive up to the home, the big trees, the decor, everything is so beautiful. It’s a cozy cabin that took me neck to visiting my great grandma as a kid. I’m already planning to return this winter. "

"The location is so peaceful. The pool was GREAT! There is so much room in this house. We found a couple of issues, but maintenance came out right away. I will say bunks are short so better for a child or short adult. It usually takes a while to get everything together to check out. I think because there were 5 bathrooms we could all stay on task. We were ready to check out 30 minutes ahead of schedule."

"The house was clean, the pool refreshing on hot Texas days and my husband was very excite that there was a catch and release pond with a very nice pier so he could fish. Even though he didn’t catch anything, it was a good way to unwind. A friendly duck and turtles kept him company. I really loved that there was a fenced in courtyard for my dog. Lovely home and the owners were extremely kind and accommodating. "
