"Me, my mum, and my little dog had a lovely stay in the peaceful village of Hartington. The staff were all so friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. We stayed in Room 1, which was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The views over the village and surrounding countryside were beautiful and made our stay even more special. "This is a great place to stay. Beautiful building and grounds. Friendly staff, good cafe and comfortable bed. Great location for local walks. WiFi hit and miss so no TV for the England game 😉 but wouldn't have bothered us otherwise. Thank you for a nice overnight stay."

"3 night stay over Easter. Pub was clean and comfortable although bed mattress was very firm which meant disturbed sleep for stay. Owners very welcoming. Breakfast was 8-9am which I felt was a little early as we usually like to have a lazy wake up without having to have alarm on so wasnt as relaxing as we would have liked. Breakfast was good but simple so would not have wanted to stay any longer. 1 or 2 nights at the most. No fruit or alternatives and not asked if we preferred eggs cooked...

"Big, quiet room, good bed, towels, and breakfast. Parking is confusing. All-day vouchers for the street parking seemed to be available but it also seemed easier to just Pay by Phone. The location is excellent, so it’s understandable that there’s no parking provided directly by the hotel and the daily cost is minimal. The sister hotel is the Crescent Hotel (famous location), which is owned by the same company, and we were ‘upgraded’ there for dinner, which was a pleasant surprise."

"A lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings, the staff were amazing so friendly welcoming & helpful. The hotel offers a few nice touches such as a packed lunch as well as welcoming drinks in your room. Our room was in a separate building, it was spacious & comfortably equipped if a little dated, our only issue was the intrusive noise from the room above, it was only a minor problem & we would happily stay here again"
