Overall, my friends and I did enjoy our stay at this property. The appliances all worked, AC was great, no issues with any utilities or anything like that and the hosts were super communicative which we greatly appreciated. That being said, there were a few things about this property that other reviewers had mentioned that were a little difficult.Firstly, the bugs. I knew that this was a cabin next to dense woods in West Virginia, so bugs were certainly to be exprected. However, the grass/lawn had not been kept up for weeks from what we could tell so the bugs were abundant. There is about an inch tall crack in the front door frame that we could see bugs coming in from, so we shoved a towel in all the door frames to prevent more from entering. I would suggest the hosts add some kind of seal to the front door specifically and I think that would help greatly with the bug problem! When we first went down to check out the hot tub, we opened the covers to a filthy tub. When I asked the host about this issue, we were instructed on how to clean the hottub ourselves. It was a little frustrating to have to do this ourselves as guests and not have a clean amenity ready to use, as this was one of the major reasons we chose to book this vrbo. It took about a full day for the hot tub to even get up to temperature, so we could only use it for one day.Overall, I think if more upkeep was performed for the external parts of the property, this would be a 4-5 star stay.
