The property was clean, and modern. No real issues. There were plenty of dishes, towels, even spices were in the drawer. The area was quiet, and convenient to the center of town. The owner was very considerate and communicated well. The town was wonderful, and the people were amazingly friendly. The area was peaceful and relaxing. The only draw back was the beach was farther from the house than expected, and was not as clean (from what appeared to be natural "messiness" from a storm). But overall, a very nice place. My partner and I are considering going there again next year.

Summer getaway
Very clean. Nice cottage for 2. Enjoyed sitting on beach or in yard looking out at the lake watching the freighters pass. Good communication with owner when necessary.

Peaceful and cozy
The cabin is bright and modern inside with everything you need for your stay. Thoughtful ventilation to keep you comfortable. Beach is accessible and lovely to sit and read or watch stars. Highly recommend it.

Perfect Getaway
Had a great couple days at the cottage, everything was clean when we arrived and although it's a small place it is nicely updated and is the perfect size for 2 people. We enjoyed fires down on the beach and the couch was perfect for movie nights. Cute town has everything you could need.

1 BR Cottage on Lake Huron
A cute and comfortable cottage with an excellent host. However the lakefront looked nothing like the photo. It was mucky, stony, and stinky.; not suitable for launching a kayak. I was able to launch my 12’ Hobie at the sweet beach in town, a great place to kayak! Thanks for the coffee, Joe.! We will try to get back next summer.

Perfect for a weekend getaway!
I booked this house for a surprise anniversary getaway for my husband and I. The house was perfect! So cute and cozy! It was very clean and had everything we needed while we stayed. The property view is breathtaking. We enjoyed our morning coffee sitting on the beach and watching the sunrise! We would definitely go back again.

Perfect!
The cottage is immaculate and so ideal for a single or couple! Great layout, all amenities you need and a spectacular location. The lake is so peaceful. Try to stay at least 2 days.

Great Place
Nice little place for two to stay. We enjoyed our weekend here. The place was very clean. It was a really nice spot for kayaking, they don’t have kayaks there but we brought our kayaks. There was a beautiful flock of 30+ swans on the water the whole weekend we stayed here. They had a telescope which we viewed the swans with from the cabin.

Very Peaceful location
Pulled up to an adorable little cottage and a beautiful view! We enjoyed sitting by the fire next to the beach, watching stars and all the wildlife. The bald eagle that lives nearby, made an appearance and I got a video of him flying across the water! I got up one morning to watch the sunrise and it was breathtaking! We went to Caseville during the cheeseburger festival during the parade, that wax fun. I am a bit picky about the beaches I Swim at and I felt this beach was more of a relaxing, sit by the fire and look at the views type of beach, which was great!! But I went over to Port Crescent State park to swim instead. At Port Crescent it was really clean and perfect for swimming. But there are so many close beaches, you could take you pick. Joe was great! He kept in contact with us, and told me he was at out disposal. We didn’t need anything but it was nice to know! I have never done Vrbo and his demeanor made me feel more comfortable about it. Thank you Joe! We will be back!

Our second visit
This was our second stay at Joe’s place. The house is really cute and perfect for two people. We once again enjoying sitting on the beach watching boats and an occasional freighter. The public beach area has a concert one night and a movie another night. If your looking for a nice quiet getaway this is your place. Joe is above and beyond easy to deal with and he also checks to make sure everything is okay and if you need anything. We definitely recommend this place.

Over all our stay at this property was good. We rented it because it was on the beach. The beach itself was beautiful and the fire pit on the beach was great. There wasn't a clear path to the beach like it said but they were doing work getting things cleaned up out there. So we decided to drive to the back entrance of the property which sits next the the beach area. This was actually easier to get our firewood and chairs out there. The inside of the house worked well for two people. The couches were clean but well used. The owner did check In with us to make sure everything went good getting into the house. The check in and check out process were great and super easy! Over all we enjoyed our stay and we would stay again.

Great getaway
We had the opportunity to getaway for the night and came across this sweet cabin. It was just perfect. It took us a minute to find it but when we did it was exactly what we were looking for. The water levels seemed low but we still managed to float out and relax. The bed was cozy and it was a nice quiet neighborhood. A ton of wild life and just an overall great peaceful getaway!

The cottage was sitting a few yards from the beach of Lake Huron. Peaceful and so beautiful. We watched the sunset and the sunrise, there are no words to describe the beauty.

Great little getaway
This was the perfect little weekend getaway for my husband's birthday. We loved the cute little cottage and the private beach access! And we were close to Port Austin, which was a plus for us. The owner had great communication and answered any questions we had. We'll definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed here to have one last weekend just the two of us before our baby arrives. It was the cutest little cottage, right on Lake Huron. The privacy was just what we needed for our little get away. We really want to try this property out in the summer months.

Cottage was just right for two people. Unfortunately there were no directions as to how to access Netflix or how to turn on the heat. It would have been convenient to have that information available with the internet access paper. Seeing ships from the kitchen window, as advertised was not possible. The window faces the side yard not the lake. It was also advertised that there was a tea kettle and there wasn’t one. These minor problems didn’t take away from our visit, but it would be nice to have had them available
