"This is a cute place to stay but a bit dated. It is dog friendly and it was lovely to see so many furry friends enjoying a trip! We stayed in a building round the back which had some quirky wallpaper but needed an upgrade. Interesting rules around breakfast which were explained in terrifying detail by staff who had been well briefed - "You have 30 minutes from when you enter until you must leave, and you can have one hot drink refill". That was a bit much, but we complied!"

"From check in to check out the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. In fact, from when you pull into the car park you get the feeling it’s a special place. "On arrival could have done with better signage as to where to park as we ended up parking at Forbidden Corner. Also not easy to find Reception and when we did find there was no-one there for 10 mins. Room nice, dressing gown and slippers nice touch. Had evening meal in the bar which was ok and staff were attentive. Meals on the Sunday finished at 5 and bar closed which was inconvenient. We were informed no staff on site again until Wed. We couldn’t boil kettle Mon morning as electric went off...

"I did not get to stay at the OVO, I booked the wrong date (my error), but having paid Expedia for insurance that would alow me to make changes to the booking, the venue wanted to charge a handling fee that was 100% of the room cost. seeing that it would have cost me the full room cost on top of whatever the actual day would cost me I decided not to cancel and to book elsewhere."

Breakfast amazing good parking plenty of spaces. The only downside for not very tall people the bath was quite high to get in to have a shower. Overall a lovely place to stay"

"Room 1 is extremely small, but was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. There were too few staff. Service at dinner and the bar was very slow. Dinner wasn't as hot as it should have been. There was too much food on a small plate, I had to hunt under the chicken for my vegetables! Overall, it's quite expensive for food that although was delicious it wasn't hot and not served in a timely manner."

"I recently stayed at your hotel and feel compelled to express my extreme disappointment with my experience. I regret my choice. I trusted reviews, and both my husband and I ended up having a terrible, sleepless night.
