"Absolutely breathtaking views and amazing wildlife! This little hidden gem offers everything you could ask for out of a getaway! We had no problems with finding the place, but it is definitely a one car road so be mindful of those directions! It got cool on us a couple nights while we were there, we wished we could've used the fireplace in the living room but we didn't. Overall an absolutely amazing experience! Looking to be able to bring our family out!"

"Our stay at this property was wonderful. The place was very nice and the location was great. Not fall from what we were there for. We would definitely stay there again. Just a suggestion, rails at the outside steps would be nice. We had two people that it was hard for them to get up and down the steps on their own. "

"The house was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well enough equipped for our cooking needs. Unfortunately the weather was not super dry so we couldn't use the grill as we planned. Neither of us were crazy about the sprial staircase. However we put up with it since we wanted to sleep upstairs in the king bed. Overall it was a wonderful house and we will stay again when we are in the area."

"The location is secluded and very cozy. Great WIFI for our grandson!! The kitchen was well equipped for our stay. We were not too far away from town which had a couple FABULOUS restaurants: Los Agave's, very authentic Mexican food with a lovely staff and Sapori di Napoli, as "foodies" we did not expect such an upscale Italian Restaurant in such a small town!! We would travel to Monterey to eat at either restaurant again!!"

"We were there 9/9-9/12 and had a relaxing, peaceful stay. The weather was perfect and my husband caught a few fish. The lily pads that filled the pond in 2023 had been thoroughly cleaned out which made the fishing more enjoyable. We also appreciated the pictures showing the directions at the end of Bowater. The cabin was clean, comfortable and spacious for our stay. We appreciated being able to have our dog with us too. The host was also very responsive to questions and easy to communicate with....

"We had such a wonderful stay! My mom, our family dog, and I loved the peaceful countryside atmosphere—it was the perfect place to slow down and relax. The nearby town of Sparta was just a short drive away and absolutely adorable. We especially thought it was so cool that the Vrbo was built into the stables on their farm—you could actually walk into the stables from the space, which was unlike anything we’d ever seen before! The only thing that would’ve made it better would’ve been if there were...

"We stayed with four adult couples for a weekend of boating on Dale Hollow.The house had everything we needed for cooking breakfasts and dinners and plenty of parking for the three boats we brought along with us.Perfect place for bringing the dogs. Ours stay close but the very large yard is entirely fenced in, which was a nice perk.We did not use the hot tub but had plenty of wood to enjoy s’mores by the fire pit."

"We fished High School State Championship on Dale Hollow lake. The barn accommodations were great for us. It was safe so we didn’t have to worry about security of our boat or stuff. The property is absolutely beautiful. If we go back to Dale Hollow this is the first place we will check for availability."
