"This historic home is beautiful, super clean, and has tons of character. Though you stay in the same building as the owners of the home, they are incredibly respectful of your privacy. "Quiet location along the Portage with a nice view and plenty of space for a family of 6 with a dog. Close to parks and charming downtown Hancock. About 15 minutes drive to Michigan Tech. Great access point to all things outdoors in the Keweenaw. Host was quick to respond to any questions. Enjoyed our summer stay and would definitely recommend. "

"We had a 4-generation family gathering in June 2025 at Kemp's. Plenty of beds, seating, kitchen capacity and space to spread out. The lakeside pavilion with fire pit and dock was great for daytime and evening hanging out. The location is convenient to Houghton/Hancock and all of the Keweenaw Penninsula. Everyone had a great time during our 3-night stay!"

"This cabin, location and lake were the perfect antidote for an amazing relaxing vacation. The pictures do not share the wonderful size windows and views of the lake. The high point of this trip was spending lots of time on the water with the owners paddle board, kayak and canoe. "What a phenomenal place to stay! The lighthouse has been totally updated with a very cool design vibe and comfortable porches all around with views and plenty of fresh air.
