"Our family stayed here on a trip to Long Beach. Previously we had stayed at VRBOs, campsites, and other hotels in the area, as the Fireside Inn was not built when we last visited. We weren’t sure what to expect, but we were very pleased with the accommodations. It was clean, comfortable and Roger, the owner, was great! The staff were friendly and attentive. "We got there late at night around 11pm because we were doing a roadtrip coming from afar. Office was closed but staff was inside as expected of a motel there should be a night shift staff assigned. Instead of him welcoming us he just said “Office was closed an hour ago”. So what? You have a motel business even if your guest arrived in the wee hour there’s should always be an available staff to check in unless it was clearly stated in the reservation that there is a time limit for when to check...

"We were very comfortable in our little cottage, except for the bathroom ceiling. My son is 6’2” and only had a couple inches of space between his head and the ceiling. The beds are comfy; the coffee pot, microwave and fridge work well. The outdoor spaces for dogs and the picnic tables are nice. Love the tiled bathroom, lighting, and window coverings. The little restaurant has great food. We’re definitely going to return!"
