"We absolutely loved this stay! The place was nice, clean and so close to the lake! We used the kayaks and cooked in the well stocked kitchen. Check-in was so easy! Maria was communicative and helpful. We are bookmarking this place as a repeat relaxing girls weekend for the future."

"We’ve been coming to Lake Gaston for many many years but this was a first at this house. It was by far the most beautiful and comfortable house we have ever rented. House was very well stocked for cooking. Plenty of space for storage and lounging. Our only complaint was the water space off the dock was pretty overrun by grass and weeds. We easily rectified that by going out on a pontoon for our swims. Hopefully we will be able to stay in this wonderful home again. Thank you for having us!!"

"I had an amazing experience at this Slice of Heaven. The neighborhood is very quiet and serene. The house is extremely inviting and comfortable with lots of extra touches from the hosts. I slept like a baby and enjoyed watching the sunset and sunrise on the screened back porch overlooking the lake. The view was unforgettable and breathtaking. I wish I could have stayed longer.This will be my preferred home any time I'm in the area!"

"Although a short stay, we absolutely loved this property!! The house was beautiful and the property was amazing! We rented the pontoon boat as well and had a wonderful time! It was especially nice sitting out by the water with the firepit at night! Would definitely recommend staying here."

"We had a great week (July 2025)! Perfect size house for our family of 6. House was well appointed and maintained. Excellent outdoor areas (boathouse and patio). Fun game room/tv room in basement. Good beds and baths. Loved location near Eaton Ferry Marina and mid-lake. One small downside is the shallow/mucky water off the dock, but you only have to go out a short way to get to great spots for swimming/floating, which we did all day. Owner was very responsive to all my messages, including...

"We had so much fun at this house. Probably one of our best vacations! The house was perfect for our needs. It has a shallow area great for kids but also deep enough at the dock to jump in. The shallow swimming area is shaded in the afternoon which saved us (heatwave that week). The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked there most nights. We even caught some decent size fish from the dock. We truly had a great time!"

Owner had quick communication when I panicked and could not find the property after GPS took me clear to the other side of town . We didn’t use the dock and such bc 1. I didn’t ask where it was and 2. We were busy and didn’t stay in too much. All in all, No complaints. Would definitely stay again!Thanks for having us!"

"Beautiful stay"

"The house had everything you could want. We never left except to take the boat to dinner one night. We spent all day in the pool or lake. 3 generations, 3 kids under 7 who all want to live at MacDaddy. We hired a chef for 4 days and rented baby equipment making it a very relaxing week. MacDaddy definitely deserves its title as Top Dog !!"

"Beautiful home with all the amenities. Lovely views, plenty of outdoor seating on porches, decks, patios and boat dock. Kitchen well equipped and organized with everything you would need, including two dishwashers. Everything was upscale, beautiful and comfortable. Kayaks were a huge hit with the kids, and swimming and fishing were fun from the dock. Fire pit and grill were used and appreciated! Quiet location, no partying. "
