Oceanfront Getaway w/ Luxury Sauna & Paddleboards

A newly renovated suite by the sea just 15 minutes from downtown Halifax. This suite is your getaway in the city, with a luxury outdoor sauna, private entry and parking, and a beautifully landscaped ocean-view deck off the entrance. There is easy access to the beach (take a cold plunge in the ocean after your sauna session!) and plenty of opportunity to watch wildlife in the harbour. There is also highspeed Wi-Fi, a TV with firestick, and a great selection of teas and Nespresso coffee

There is a large, luxury outdoor sauna, outdoor seating - a bistro table for two on the covered back patio and two sun loungers and side table (in season) on the lower deck by the ocean. There is access to the beach and a large Solo Stove (smokeless) fire pit! Inside there is a cozy reading corner complete with a CD/record player and selection of music, boardgames and puzzles, and the TV is connected with a Firestick.
There are two paddleboards and a tandem sea kayak that guests can use in season.

Guests have parking available at the front of the house, the suite is accessed by a private path down the side of the house which leads to a private entrance at the rear (ocean-side). Feel free to enjoy the beautiful covered stone patios outside your door. And of course the beach, sauna and lower decks by the ocean can be used as well!
Paddleboards and kayaks are available for use in the summer months (by making a reservation you agree to have read, understood, and accepted the liability waiver in the house rules).

We both live on the property, although we often travel for work, we`re typically around and available to help out and answer questions about the area.

The house is located just before the coastal community of Purcell`s Cove, off the scenic Purcell`s Cove Road. There are hiking trails through woods, by ponds and near old quarries right out the front door, as well as a wilderness reserve, park spaces, and extensive network of mountain biking/multiuse trails within a very short driving distance. The community of Spyryfield is just 7 minutes away and has all amenities (groceries, liquor, gas stations, restaurants, cafes, etc.)

The house is just a 15 minute drive from downtown Halifax, or 7 minutes to Spryfield for major amenities (gas, groceries, restaurants, even a brewery).
The house is in a great location for walking (although there aren`t many amenities within walking distance) and there are bike lanes along Purcell`s Cove Road, a bus stop is also located nearby, and of course the property is very accessible by water craft!

We live on the property, but we travel often, and when we are home we allow guests the freedom and privacy to enjoy the space in privacy.
1) Smoking (cigarettes and cannabis) is permitted outside only. Please do not litter the butts as they will end up in the ocean.

2) The house has a sensitive septic system - guests agree not to flush oils/grease down drains and nothing down the toilets besides toilet paper and human waste. Plumbing repair fees will be passed on if they are required due to guest negligence.

3) We love your furry friends, but due to allergies we cannot accept pets :(

4) Guests agree to read, understand, and adhere to the following Liability Waiver:
You understand that swimming, and the use of paddleboards, kayaks and sauna are at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with swimming, and using the paddleboards, kayaks, and sauna. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from swimming, and use of the paddleboards, kayaks, and sauna and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that swimming, and the use of paddleboards, kayaks, and sauna may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person swimming, or using the paddleboards, kayaks, and sauna if a person has health risks, or if a person swims, or uses the paddleboards, kayaks, or sauna while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents or claims arising from swimming, or using the paddleboards, kayaks, and sauna. All Airbnb Guests in your party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that booking constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between Airbnb Guests and Airbnb Host.
