"Marie was an excellent host and wealth of knowledge as to what to see,do,and eat while in Homer. And her breakfasts were spectacular!! Loved the homemade fresh jams, jellies, and syrups. The room and restroom was spacious and clean. Probably the best view from the deck balcony that we have seen in a number of years. We highly recommend the Majestic B&B for the perfect stay while in Homer, Alaska."

"The solarium and hot tub was a good distance away and was just a green house. I may have misunderstood when booking,but they made it seem like it was a part of the cabin.( the entire reason I spent $400 for one night) it was hard lugging my luggage to the cabin do to the railroad tie stairs being so far apart. "My friend and I were very excited to be visiting Alaska for the first time. We were also excited to be staying at the Halcyon bed-and-breakfast as the photos looked very nice. Upon arrival, we entered the owners upstairs living room, only to find it in complete disarray, very messy and not very clean. "We like everything about this property! We travel extensively and I really believe this host offered the “little” details possible. A small candy dish, a booklet full of local information, soft towels, make up towels, nice shower heads, coffee products, etc…. We enjoyed the balcony, recliners and soft bed. Nearby float planes coming and going did make noise that could bother some, but we know those sounds are the price of adventure for others, overall this is a great place to stay!"

"It's a beautiful cabin, either new or just updated. It only had 1 bed and an uncomfortable pullout couch, which i didn't find 100% clear in the listing. The bathroom sink wouldn't drain. The best part was the location, being right by the lake. We sat by the water and watched at least 25 planes take off and land! They provide ear plugs and sleep masks which are required because the door doesn't have a curtain to block the light."
