"I was skeptical about stay here, but this was honestly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The woman at the front desk was kind and friendly. The room was immaculate. We use the local airport about once a year and needed to stay close by for the early flight. We would definitely stay here again if we need to be nearby. There was a firepit burning outside when we arrived. It is cute! The hotel has a very patriotic theme."

"We really enjoyed the little lake cabin. The lake itself is beautiful and peaceful. The cabin is an old and dated up north cabin, but that is exactly what we were expecting based on the listing. We used the canoe which was nice and the kids took a dip in the lake. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was clean. Definitely a fun UP getaway!"

"This home is very special. Fantastic location tucked away in Bass Lake which is known for the best fishing in the area. Grandson caught a couple large mouth bass. He spent hours every single day dock fishing. Family enjoyed the comfort of this home and beautiful view of the lake. The furniture inside and out was comfortable. This is the place to be to unwind from your daily chaos. Hope to return. "

"This was a nice cabin. There are five cabins on the owners' property. The owners had good communication but were otherwise unobtrusive. The main hot tub is shared with cabins 1-4, but cabin 5 has its own private one. Most importantly I took my rescue pitbull and had no issues with the owners or other guests. Some properties have a lot of dog rules so I was pleased to see this property was more lenient."

"The location is quiet and private.There are 5 cottages and a main house so you have some privacy. The cottages are nice and have all your necessities. The view of the lake is beautiful! We all enjoyed our stay at Elemental on beautiful Shag Lake! Our host George was helpful and communication was perfect! "

"The property is the quintessential lake house on a pristine lake in MIchigan’s Upper Peninsula. It’s decorated nicely, maintained well, and had all the comforts of home, including a “welcome” array of snacks made in MI. The owners left no detail to chance for their guests so we could cook in their well-appointed kitchen, enjoy a class of wine on their perfect lakeside deck, stream some programs, and sleep comfortably. "We had an awesome weekend getaway at Cabin 5. The hot tub was nice after an evening of fishing. My husband caught 7 fish and I caught my first fish! The shower was a little tricky at first but once you figure it out it makes sense. The sink water pressure wasn’t that great but we didn’t have much use for it since we didn’t have much dishes nor needed it to cook with. If so, you just have to be patient . The beds are super comfy and overall cabin 5 was just perfect for the two of us plus our pup....
