"To say that this couple went beyond expectations to make sure that we were safe and comfortable- there are no words. Their home was beautiful, updated, and the coolest place we’ve ever stayed, according to my grandchildren(which is amazing since we had just spent a week in a cabin in the Smokey mountains). If you have the chance book it, it’s an hours drive to many places. Thank you for your service, your hospitality was amazing!"

"Nice little place in a really quiet, convenient location in Hinesville. House was clean and cozy, way too much room for the two of us, but how often can you say that? Well equipped so you can cook your own meals, modern laundry, and well-outfitted backyard to include an in ground pool, fire pit, table and chairs. Sony, the property owner is a super nice guy, transparent, and extremely responsive. Neighbors were were great too. Thanks Sony, perhaps we will see you again one day! "

"We stayed at his property for three nights. The host went above and beyond to familiarize us with the area and even taught us how to crab and fish. The house is home from home (has everything you need for a relaxing vacation). Our kids (9-14) enjoyed kayaking in the creek, crabbing at the dock and fishing in the stream. I would definitely return to this property for our next stay. "

"This review is LONG overdue! Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to it.This rental was by far one of my all time favorites from VRBO!!We booked both this property (Yellow Door Lodge) and its sister property next door (Red Door Lodge) for my son's wedding. We wanted as many of our relatives as possible to stay with us. The Yellow Door Lodge was the "next door" house to the "main" get-together house. But that did not deter family from checking it out! As family arrived in Savannah and then...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was neat and clean. We had all the comforts of home. We did not cook meals because we ate with family in the area, but the kitchen seemed to have everything one would need. It was a convenient location while visiting our son and daughter in law. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this home if you need a place in this area. "

"This place is adorable! I stayed here for almost 2 weeks with my husband, our two children (a toddler and a baby), my mom, and our dogs. We found it to be comfortable, nicely decorated, quiet and cozy, yet still big enough for everybody to spread out. The owner was very accommodating and helpful, he was quick to respond to all my questions. We very much enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this place to anybody visiting Hinesville, particularly if traveling with children and pets."

"Great time with my seven grand daughters ((and granddaughters in law and potential granddaughters in law). Played lots of games, made souvenier t-shirts and ate too well. A few bugs (squeamish girls!) and the house could be updated a bit, but it appeared to be very clean with lots of comforts and a very well equipped kitchen. Mornings on the dock were delightful and the changing tides made the view different everytime we were there. Loved our time together!!!"

"Small 3 bedroom house with 2 bathroom was pleasant. This place came with towels for all guests, and bedding. There were extra blankets if needed. The decor was a little more than I would have liked. Home looked like it was a model home, less decor would give it a more natural look. Cabinets were full of decor. There is no pantry to place food. We stayed in and cook most days. There was plenty of cookware and bakeware. They had a tea box with honey which made my week. There were coffee pods for...

"We loved the old house and the old time feel. It had a lot of character and a lot of antiques but also friendly for kids of all ages. They just said put it up high if little hands would touch it. We would love to come to this same house for another vacation. We were all sad to leave!"

"Although we only stayed over night on our way home, we found the home cheerful and comfortable. The complementary healthy snacks and coffee were a thoughtful touch. We had everything we needed to recharge from a long drive. We appreciated the fenced in yard since we were traveling with a pet. The home was spotless and communication with the host was smooth and friendly. We would stay again if our travels take us in that direction. "

"My sister and I came the weekend before Thanksgiving to see our 96 year old mother since neither of us could come on the actual holiday. The owners were very good about communicating the arrival and departure procedures. The cottage was very cute and comfortable. The outside was nice with a fire pit and dock you could walk down to. I would highly recommend this cottage, and we would definitely stay there again!!"
