This condo was great! Fantastic location for our family with littles. We were able to make trips to the beach multiple times a day as we wanted to. The view was great, check in and out was super easy. We will definitely be back!

Left wanting

The unit is on the 1st floor with dorect access to the parking lot which is GREAT. However, on the beach side, it is right above a grassy area and the grills, so after 10 pm its still loud. That was kind of the general atmosphere of the whole week, loud. The pool had multiple bluetooth speakers all at the same time. Many patrons in the pool were enjoying their beer while they swam. The unit was dated, but clean. The seating in the living room was not very conducive to famliy gathering. The price reflected this, IMO.

Poor

The condo is in a great location! But, it could use some attention and updates. The paint is peeling off the doors, mismatched paint on the same walls, the ceilings in the bathrooms and walls around the tubs need attention, the curtain blinds fall off and several pieces were found in the closet. The cabinets are in poor condition. We had to clean out washer/dryer before using them. The rugs and throw pillows are disgusting!

Not as good as it used to be.

We stayed here in April 2021 and again in May 2023. In 2021, the stay was much better and cheaper and had more toiletries and stuff in the kitchen. This time, we only got 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and 1 very small roll of paper towels. There was no salt and pepper and no coffee filters for the coffee maker. They dont allow you to even smoke on your balcony anymore, there is a designated smoking area way off in the parking area. The cleaning person left bleach or something all in the bathtub, so there was a bunch of bubbles when i turned the water on to bathe my kids. Also, parking passes used to be $25 or $35, now its $55 and they did not tell this in the contract. I love the location and the amenities at this place, but they have went way downhill in the past 2 years.

Housekeeping oversights

The top of the refrigerator was very dirty and the dishes and silverware had food on them. When the plates were taken out of the cabinet on our last day, (because that was the only day we decided to use them), water spilled from between the stack making cleanup a necessity. We loaded the dishwasher and added detergent, but it would not work. We called Beach Getaways Maintenance answering service and reported the broken dishwasher before our departure.

Our particular condo was awful!!

My money will be spent elsewhere next year!! Expected more from a condo!! Sounded reasonable until multiple fees were added on!! Beds hard and uncomfortable-pillows flat and hard. Walls scratched up. Chairs in living room had fabric ripped off of them. Decorative pillows were old and dirty looking. The dual coffee maker was not dual though we found the box for a new one which was empty Master bedroom shower drains slowly. The bedroom by the main door has a window with blinds and a sheer curtain with a light outside all night long. Beware if you have young children who usually sleep in darkness!! And the WORST thing. Our door to the patio wouldn’t close one night. I talked to the Phoenix V people who said they would call someone. After no one arriving I found an 800 number for the leasing company and someone did come about two hours after asking for help. He got the door back on the track and we assumed he locked it. The next day we discovered the door doesn’t lock and this is why there was a broomstick in the track. Also on the patio are a table and four chairs. Two of these chairs have portions of the legs broken off and were unusable. There were two plastic Adirondack chairs out there also that were ok. Very disappointed!!

Infant friendly

Beds were very clean , but condo was not very upkept. Paint touch-ups, presented as 3 bedrooms but was only 2 bedroom , sliding door did not lock , so if windy it was like hearing a jet engine . Awaken several mornings by crying children or lawn mowing or construction . Couches were faux leather , serious peeling , walls in dining room severe damage , Toilet in master bath a child's toilet .

Family Christmas Vacation

This unit had a very nice location right on the beach. Loading and unloading was very easy since the back of the unit is ground level. It had everything in the kitchen we needed except a mop. The layout worked well with 2 teens and they loved the basketball court and workout room. The reason we rated this average is it was over priced. The unit was not very clean, we found cheese under the master bed and lots of food under the furniture in the living room and spills all over the sides of the furniture. The comforters were filthy and units should not be using comforters anymore. It was basically surface clean. Also, 2 of the chairs on the deck were broke and one was tied down so we couldn't move it out of the way. The remotes in the master bedroom did not work even when I put in new batteries. The patio doors and front door do not seal which makes a whistling through the whole unit when the wind blows. The lock on the main patio door was also broke. I had to plunge each of the bathtubs to get them to drain. The unit is very dated and so with that and all these issues we felt the unit was ok but way over priced. The whole building needs upgrades. We would stay here again and a much lower rate.

Great location, needs a thorough cleaning and major upgrades needed

While the location was fabulous, that was the only thing fabulous. I checked several things before booking during coronavirus, and was pleased this unit would not have any comforters during our stay. When we checked in, surprise, comforters. When I called management, they said that ended August 1. Our stay started August 10. Nothing noted this change in our pre vacation communications. So that was disappointing. Then the tv in the front bedroom didn’t work. But we are trying to social distance so did not want anyone to come in and fix it. So we didn’t get to use that. And I referenced what coffee maker would be in this unit before going because we were bringing all our groceries with us to avoid grocery store, and when I arrived, it was not the maker described and had to go to grocery and get filters and coffee. It’s obviously not the end of the world, but for a family that is trying to avoid others during COVID 19, this was frustrating. The cleaning wasn’t phenomenal, there were gnats in the kitchen our whole stay - gross. There was a full ashtray on the back patio, and the rugs didn’t look vacuumed. The unit itself, needs a MAJOR upgrade. There are so many patches of paint on the walls trying to fix chips and such. Blinds are missing from the master and doesn’t block the sunlight so you wake up at 6am. The furniture is run down. The pool was dingy and rundown. The splash area was fun for my kids. I have no idea how this unit has four stars. I will say location is perfect and accessing the beach is easy. We will not be staying here again.

Fun Fun Fun!

The children ages 9 and 10 loved the splash pad. The pool was excellent. We liked the fact that we could barbeque at the pool. Only bad thing is we had to leave our fur baby at home. Also the beach was right there so very convenient! The condo was very roomy as well. We loved it. Thank you.

Phoenix V unit 116

overall this unit was okay. The kitchen is not very well stocked. The information given to us about the coffee pot was incorrect. There were painted over spackled areas all in the kitchen. This unit could use some work. Overall, it was clean. It says it is on the first floor which it is, but there is a ground floor.

Loved being right on the beach!

We were on the first floor so no waiting on an elevator. We were in an unit that was on the far end so we were away from the pool noise. The splash pad was our 4 year old favorite place. The big kids could swim in the pool while we stayed with the little so he could have fun. We will definitely try to rent this unit again next year.

Great view, great location

Great and convenient location. We had wonderful views of the ocean, beach and pool plus conveniently located so we didn’t have to use the elevator. Condo is a bit dated but it really didn’t matter. We would stay again.
