Southern Sands 303 is equipped with all the essentials of home. Enjoy the views of the gulf, beach, and private pool at this 2Br/2Ba, 3rd floor condo on scenic West Beach. Condo size is approx. 1,000 SqFt.

Low density complex - only 18 units - complex is directly on the beach, and easy walking distance to the center of town! Island Outfitters directly across the street. Ice cream/snow cone/deli store 1/2 block away!

Continuing remodeling underway in 303, as the unit is fully tiled except soft carpet for bedrooms; wood blinds and designer fan in living room. This condo has a private balcony overlooking the beach and gulf, all appliances including flattop stainless steel range, SS dishwasher, over range microwave, recently added refrigerator and new granite counters (Aug'22). USB charging outlets in kitchen and Master Bedroom, PLUS new 'CubieBlue' USB charging clocks in both bedrooms, with Blutooth speaker unit in twin bedroom too! Twin Nectar Premium Mattresses (Jul'23). Premium Nectar mattress w hybred coils in Master Bedroom too (Aug'22).

This awesome condo has a whirlpool tub in master bath, ice maker, SMART TVs(3), Bluray (1), DVD (1), Elevator, BBQ grilling area w/grills, full size Washer/Dryer available - credit/debit card service on each floor ($1.50/cycle). Parking Permits are $42/ea (2 MAX). Parking Permits are $52/ea(2 MAX) during Hangout Festival.

50" UHD SMART Flat Screen TV in living room w/Bluray and Blutooth tower speaker. Also, NEW 50" UHD Smart TV in Master BR with NETFLIX available (must have your own account). Bluetooth Tower speaker has FM and USB charging point too! Twin BR has 50" UHD SMART TV with SMART Blu-Ray, with HDMI Games input cord ready for action! Twin have USB charging on bluetooth speaker clock, and on each headboard too! Updated paint and all furnishing in Twin BR (Jul'23). Upgraded 12" Premium Nectar Mattresses in Twin now too (Jul'23)!!

Both the eating and cooking utensils were not washed. There was a bathing suit left out on the deck. Honestly the most disgusting part was the dishes. I attempted to contact Vrbo and of course they stated the property would not refund the cleaning fees. What is the point of cleaning fees if the property is not clean when I arrive and then I have to also to clean when I depart. The place was also outdated and the deck is not technically completely private. No boardwalk to beach. Was over priced.

Family Vacation

Place was clean and smelled fresh upon arrival. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Only complain is I wish there was a boardwalk leading to the beach and it would be perfect.

Perfect vacation

Condo was just as described. Comfortable beds, big enough condo for a family of five (3 boys 10-14yrs old). You can’t get much closer to the beach too! Amazing view, clean and you can walk to gift shops, restaurant's and party stores. My only complaint has NOTHING to do with the condo or owners and hopefully won’t happen on your trip, but every morning at 4:30am we were woke up by the revving of a garbage truck, its back up alarm and the loud sound of the neighboring buildings dumpster being pushed out of the building, dumped then pushed back into the building! So maybe bring some ear plugs or run a fan while you sleep. Again, I wouldn’t let that stop me from renting again, just be prepared that’s all. I’d 100% come back to this condo.

Great condo

Location couldn’t be better. Easy walk to beach. Elevators, carts and parking were great. The condo itself was nice, but was missing some basic kitchen items. Always bring everything you need and dont expect things like toilet paper, garbage bags, kitchen scissors, etc. Condo was nice enough, and no complaints. Just missing a little extra….

Amazing stay

Great location! Walking distance to restaurants and shops. I liked the smaller property. Our unit could have used some updating but was A great size for a family of 4. Beach access was close to the chair rental and parasailing place.

Property is in a great location, has good proximity to the beach. Nice outdoor balcony seating. Now, here’s the constructive comments- Carpet is a wrong choice for a beach property - period. Most of the furniture is way outdated / some is dirty and should be thrown out. (Stained pull out mattress/couch). Would recommend replacing the twin mattresses. Towels were thin/ threadbare. Below average for kitchen appointments… My friends rented the unit unit next door and it was completely updated (for the same price) Look elsewhere, folks I love this complex, but will not stay in this unit again

This is the one!

Our extended family rented 3 units here. This unit was our favorite of the three. The kitchen layout was nice with an island that really helped cooking meals for 3 separate groups. There were plenty of small plastic cups for the kiddos and fancy stuff for adults. The pots and pans selection could have been better, but did what we needed. The view is great. You can see the beach and ocean well, but also the pool. The units closest to the beach can see up and dow the shoreline but we liked being able to monitor the activities at the pool too. The bed/bath layout is nice. I appreciated having a bathroom separate from my kids for once. We grilled a couple of times and that was awesome. The pool is very well taken care of, clean, and doesn't seem over chlorinated or anything. We walked to most places we ate at. Very close to several great restaurants. Our keycode didn't work upon arrival but we were able to contact mgmt and get in realatively quickly. Thanks! The beach here is awesome. The sand is very fine and feels great to walk on! So clean!!! Our unit had no musty smells and had a great breeze going through it. AC worked well when we needed it.

The condo was quaint and clean. The location was great. So close to the Hangout. We could walk around and enjoy local eateries like the Beli and shop for souvenirs. The beach was Beautiful and clean. Our family enjoyed our time in Gulf Shores.

Great location and beautiful view of the ocean. Easy walk to restaurants, shopping and other activities. Could use updates to the beds. Twin beds were very uncomfortable and the queen bed was very hard.

Stay was okay!

All was good except for the fact that we dealt with construction machinery running most of our time during vacation. Property was pretty trashy out side. We were there a week and trash dumpster was over flowing on to parking the whole time we where there. Always having to walk around the noisy machinery. Beeping constantly. Also got stuck in the elevator 3 different times. Had to manually push the door open to get out of it. Room was in decent shape except for the bathrooms being a little dirty and beds being extremely hard.
