Bonhomme Richard West - Book Your Beach Stay Today!

Bonhome Richard West is a Gulf Front duplex that can sleep up to 11 people. This 4-bedroom beach house offers unobstructed views of the sparkling water of the Gulf of Mexico. If you are looking for a spacious retreat for your family vacation this vacation rental is the place for you. Take a seat in the living room and enjoy the unobstructed views of the sugar white sands. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a traditional southern seafood meal.

The primary bedroom has a queen bed and access to the private balcony. The bathroom has a tub shower combination. The second bedroom has a twin and a full-size bed. The third bedroom has a twin bed and a queen bed and there is also a twin bed and a queen bed in the fourth bedroom. With a queen size sofa sleeper this beach house can sleep up to 11 people comfortably.

This direct beach-front West duplex is located on the beautiful white sandy beaches of Gulf Shores approximately 2 miles west of Highway 59 on West Beach Blvd. Bonhomme Richard Duplex offers both covered and open decks along with covered parking. There is a 3 car limit.

Monthly rentals available October to March 1. You must be 25 years of age or older to rent.

This is a non-smoking property. Pets are not permitted.

During the spring break season, between the dates of March 1 through April 30 of each year, the person booking the reservation must be 25 years of age or older and must be present to physically check in at our office with your government issued ID present.

The parsonage

The beach access was great. The home was fairly clean inside and overall comfortable. Only negative thing is it was quite junky outside in parking area and outdoor shower. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location and remodel

Great location, beach is the backyard. Remodel of the house was great. Beds comfortable and kitchen was great to cook in with plenty of utensils. Would recommend to anyone wanting wanting to stay on the beach, also not crowded felt like our own private slice of heaven

WORST HOUSE EVER!!!

DO NOT stay here!! I would have given it zero stars if I could have! The entire house was run down and filthy! The baseboards, the door handles, the banister, the walls were disgusting. the kitchen and bathroom cabinets had mouse poop in them. There were dead bugs in one of the vanities. The vent in the upstairs bathroom was dripping and there was black mold around it. A few other vents had black mold also. There was a sausage, a bunch of dried up contacts, and a red solo cup next to one of the beds. Clearly this place is not cleaned properly! The outdoor shower was rusty and didnt have any handles, so it did not work. the toilets are lopsided. The refrigerator was broke. They brought us another one which they put in the dining room. It had the initials of the rental company spray painted on the front! The microwave was rusty and warped on the inside. The counter was cracked and had big hunks out of it. The cabinets were filthy and all of the finish was worn off of them. The dishwasher was rusty on the outside. The sofa bed was broken and most of the springs were missing. It was unusable. None of the bifold closet doors had tracks. they all just fell open. The door on the upper deck was rusty. the door handle on the lower deck was rusted out and there were sharp edges. two people cut their fingers. A bunch of nails were popped up on the deck. Someone cut their foot. The deck furniture was filthy and old. Half way through the week, an exterminator showed up out of the blue. He said the house had bats and he came to take care of it. No surprise! The TV and the WIFI DID NOT work all week. The manager finally showed up on friday ( our last day) to call and try to get it fixed. she wasn't able to. I spent the first two days of my vacation dealing with most of this. We had to make numerous calls, and a trip to the office. Needless to say, this was not how I wanted to spend my vacation! The maintenance man told us that they know how bad this place is , and that they've told the owner that they need to do something about it. This place should never have been rented out in the condition that its in! I wish I could post all of the pictures that I took. We've been to Gulf Shores many times and NEVER had an experience like this one! Don't waste your money on this place like we did!

No problems with renting the place! No problems finding the place!! Great location! Great layout for 4 bedrooms! Cleanliness good! Furniture good! Bedding good! Laundry facility good! The weather was great for August and having a hurricane threat (it missed us!!)! The place just needs an update…more modern.

Family gathering

For this trip, we rented both sides of the property. First the good. The location was perfect for us. The view from the porch doesn't get better. There were 22 of us and the house was plenty spacious. We did not want to use the pull out sofas in the living rooms and it was not necessary. We ranged in age from 9 to 90. The beds were average, but comfortable enough. The main complaint for both sides was in the kitchen. If the owner/manager would spend just a little to upgrade a few of the pots, pans and utensils, it would go a long way. For example, the skillets were peeling Teflon and some of the large plastic bowls had holes in them. There was a vacuum cleaner on only one side and it didn't work unless you just used the hose connection. Both sides had a tiny broom which was really the only thing to keep the sand swept up. All that said, everyone agreed we'd go back in a heartbeat!

Great Property!

My husband and I took all of our adult children, spouses and grandchild for a Christmas gift. The property was great and being right on the beach was great! Information about what to bring was provided ahead of time, so we were prepared. We had a wonderful time!

Summer fun!!!

Absolutely loved the location of the beach house. It was perfect for our grandkids right on the beach. It was stocked good and had plenty of room for ten of us! Loved the balcony that overlooked the ocean! Would definitely stay here again.

Older unit great location

The unit was a fabulous location however the unit is very dated and needs updated and repaired. While the unit “sleeps 13” (we had 12 in our party) it does not hold enough room to hold that many people for meals or for sitting in a living room or relaxing. Upon arrival we discovered a broken lamp, unusable remotes, stain on our comforter (looked like blood) and the kitchen countertops were broken and the fridge door wouldnt stay shut. The location is fabulous and for our large family it worked for what we needed but we would never return. The direct beach access was amazing! The washer and dryer did work fabulously and we were able to shower all 12 of us without running out of hot water. Loved our time at the beach but this unit was way overpriced - even on spring break for what we got. Also we had to buy a broom just to keep from walking in piles of sand all week. The fan in the living room is loose and makes an annoying sound if you use it- and the tile in the main floor bedroom is broken by the closet and feels like you will fall through the floor if you step on it. Kitchen has electric stove and back of it was falling down and some burners did not work. AC worked great. Towel bar in main floor bathroom fell off and wasn’t secure.

Nice house, excellent location!

The house is a little dated but it was comfortable and convenient. Minutes away from Walmart, the zoo and souvenir shops. Also, the views and access to the the beach can't be beat. I loved being able to open the back door, step off the deck and onto the beach. We got to watch beautiful sunrises while enjoying our coffee at the house and constant sounds of the ocean. We would absolutely stay again.

Needs several repairs

Clothes washer was broken. It was unplugged with water standing in it. Shower heads were loose. Bathroom faucets had mold and soap scum in them. We replaced the air filter because the air conditioner wasn’t cooling probably after we replaced it the air worked fine. The right front element on the stove didn’t get hot. Remote doesn’t work for tv in the living room. Definitely needs some attention

The ONLY good thing about this place is that it’s close to the beach.

I’ve stayed in many beach houses and this is by far the worst I’ve ever seen. This house is ridiculously outdated. The furniture is terrible. Everything needs updating. The carpet is absolutely disgusting. It’s located right on the beach and that’s the only good thing about this place. The house looks so dirty because it’s so old. The door knob to the back door was broken when we arrived. The place is not well stocked at all. There’s not enough silverware, not enough cookware, no blender. The grill is falling apart. The decorations are hideous. I would never stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Great place!

We had a great stay. We had 10 people and the house fit us perfectly. The location was perfect and right on the beach. We could walk to our spot each day and it had a great view for the fireworks on the 4th of July. Would recommend and will be back!

Comfortable and relaxing

Although the weather didn't cooperate, the duplex provided a comfortable and roomy place to stay on the beach. We were able to sit on the decks and watch the rain and waves.

Nice Week

Great property for our multiple-family vacation. Plenty of room and easy access to the beach as well as other attractions and conveniences Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. The place could use some maintenance as the downstairs air conditioning was a weak.

relaxing, refreshing, amazing

The location was AMAZING!!! The cleanliness was great. The furnishings could be updated. Beds need to be replaced. Overall more modern deco. But with that said, Young Suncoast had someone out to fix the things we called about, it took a little longer to get the box springs replaced but they compensated us for it. My family and I will go back!
