"Location is the highlight of this Gualala studio. The stairs faded quickly into the spectacular views. This is a special retreat from the ordinary. Miren is a fantastic host, her knowledge of the area, attention to detail & warm hospitality all a highlight of our stay. We spent 3 nights & explored nearby, but the Anchor Bay beach below this studio makes this location a place of pure contentment, no need to roam. We hope to return."

"How refreshing and renewing spending a week in a beautiful home surrounded by forest. The view was expansive and we were not even 10 minutes away from the ocean. The house was very comfortable and well stocked with everything I needed. Our host was responsive and very helpful. Our stay could not have been better!"

"Directions clear, excellent manual which we referred to at times. We enjoyed both the home, yard and sound of the waves as well as the town. Walked to town on numerous occasions. Spent two days at Gualala Point Park—could not get enough of the outdoors there."

"Great location, central to all we wanted to do. The kitchen was small and the 2 large burners on the stove didn't work making cooking a bit of a challenge. Also, the hot tub is so small only 1-2 people can use it at one time. Still, it was a comfortable home, peaceful setting, and the agency and property manager were very responsive to issues that arose."

"Very clean and comfortable, but no coffee. TV remote was a mystery to us, but we finally figured it out. Lovely house with sculptures and other art throughout. Of immense help were the automatic outside lights that came on to guide us up the stairs after dark."

"We stayed at Shalimere for Mothers Day Weekend, and it was Perfect!!! The owners go above and beyond to make you and your dog feel welcomed. The house has everything we needed and then some to make us feel right at home. Our pup loved the basket of toys, and lounging on the gated-in wrap around deck with us. "We were greeted by the friendly owner of this property at check in. The room is clean n must be newly remodeled not long ago. We always bring our own dog supplies to include beddings, towels, bowls to alleviate extra work on the housekeepers because we know how hard they work to keep the place clean. Some of the down sides if we must pick may just be the very loose kitchen faucet, rusty flange behind the shower faucet, dusty window curtains n some wall n gap blemishes which we’re sure were...
