Relaxing Stay During Rainy NYE Week

Our stay was quiet and relaxing. It rained the entire time, so we didn't do much. Our girls enjoyed the game room playing air hockey and darts. The hot tub was relaxing. The kitchen had all the items for cooking. We took a 4 mile walk to Pine Mountain Lake in the rain and it was beautiful. The board games were missing pieces and there was only one remote for the entire home (I guess someone took the other one). Jeff was very responsive to issues. Great trip.

Wonderful Hosts for Great Family House

The home is very comfortable and has everything a family needs. There was lots of space for everyone to enjoy. Highly communicative hosts able to answer question and resolve needs very quickly.

Great Base Camp

This was a great spot for our first trip.to Yosemite. Property was perfect for our family. Groveland is a cool little town. Owner was responsive and easy to work with.

Good times spent

House was nice and spacious. I liked the open space and big windows in the living room. Location makes it easy to get to Yosemite, short drive. Host was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions that we had.

great once we got in

would give 5 but very bad experience getting in. Due to traffic issues arrived well after dark in the rain. The very steep drive was a bit frightening (but not unusual here we see) There is motion light on drive but we must have driven too far forward so it didn't go on. Hadn't realized 16 stairs to door --very difficult for husband who had badly hurt his knee. Not in description but if an issue it is clear from photos door is up stairs (not an issue when we booked) Given NO light took long time to feel how to open gate to deck. No light at all by front door. Key is in small box with very small code cylinders. Extremely difficult to see numbers with cell phone light only. Then had hard time opening to get key. & finally front door sticks so badly we couldn't easily open it thus couldn't tell if had opened the lock. All together getting in took about 20 frustrating minutes in rain. Not a good start. Easily solved with 1. motion sensor light by gate & front door!!!!~ 2. new key hide with bigger, clearer numbers 3. fix front door. Less serious issue easily fixed... towel rack in 2nd BR broken off wall, rack in MBR is loose All that aside, home is lovely & comfortable, photos accurate. Kitchen very nice & well equipped. Really great for kids with games, even leggos in bunk room. Perfect for golfing - beach family. Yosemite a day trip but not good if that is main destination -- nearly 2 hours (lovely drive) to the valley. For some guests supercharger right in Groveland a plus. listing says fenced yard... no, but nice that deer come close. Deck IS entirely fenced for little ones.

Great Cabin

We stayed at this house with another family, a total of 4 adults and 3 kids. There was a ton of space for everyone and the jacuzzi was lovely after our days hiking in Yosemite. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we need, and the host was very communicative and quick to respond. I would stay there again!

Thank you! We loved our stay. The cabin is beautifully furnished, clean and with a great location. We all loved the hot tub and my kids especially loved the game room. I definitely appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine. We would definitely visit again.

Nice house for family stay

We used the house as a base for going to Yosemite one day, then spent a rainy day playing games inside. Lots of things for kids to do - games, tvs, etc. There are video games, ping pong, shuffleboard & darts downstairs but it is not heated and the access is only through the garage door so not conducive to use in the winter.

Great house for families.

The house was extremely clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need. Great bbq on the deck. Nice rec room in garage. Air hockey table does not work but the grandchildren still had fun with it.

Wonderful family stay!

We were very impressed with the cabin and the amenities provided. The cabin was clean and there were lots of thoughtful extras like masks, hand sanitizer, and mosquito repellent arm bands. Our daughter enjoyed all the toys and books available for kids. It was 100 degrees outside, so we were especially thankful for the AC! Unfortunately, we didn't get to take advantage of the game room this time, but hope to return to use it next time.

Very relaxing and enjoyable stay

It was our fourth stay in Pine Mountain Lake, but it was the most relaxing one. The property is well maintained, has beautiful decor, generously stocked (i.e. eco friendly toiletries and Meyers kitchen dish soap which is a great plus for us). We all loved the jacuzzi, two decks to enjoy the view and the wild life (we saw a fox two times, wild turkeys, deers, and lots of beautiful birds). Kids loved their room with two bunk beds and a full one, lots of toys, legos and children's books. The game room in the garage was a lot of fun too for them. The property is about 10 min drive from the Marina Beach, but pretty close to Dunn Ct beach which is a smaller but more intimate beach. We visited both and enjoyed our time at both of them. We also explored areas outside of Pine Mountain Lake and truly appreciated recommendations from Jeff and Gina. If you are to explore Yosemite, please make sure you have reservations. They still require them as of June 11, 2021. We were lucky and were able to get one for the next day, but some say they needed to book in advance. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Lovely house, responsive owners

Three of us stayed for a long weekend trip to Yosemite. The house is lovely, comfortable, and well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner and my husband wanted to see if the super comfy couch would fit in his suitcase… Loved the wild turkeys in the backyard. The owners were super responsive and available for questions. Tangled Hearts cafe and bakery was a fabulous pre hiking breakfast spot and Around the Horn brewing was the perfect post Yosemite beer and a snack spot.

Wonderful 40th Birthday Covid getaway

Due to Covid, my 40th birthday plans to go to Mardi Gras were canceled - so a small group of friends and myself decided to rent a house and just hang out, cook great meals and enjoy the great outdoors. This house was great, love that each room had a queen sized bed or larger for our three couples. The hot tub (although small) was awesome to sit in the early morning with a cup of coffee. We saw deer (including a huge buck), wild turkeys, lots of squirrels and even some grey foxes meander through the backyard. The kitchen was stocked and made cooking a breeze. The beds were insanely comfortable. The boys loved the game room and I loved the extra touches (a bottle of wine and a Christmas ornament to take home as a souvenir, the fire kits for the fireplace and the toiletries in the bathroom complete with Advil - it was my 40th afterall :-). We drove to a local brewery one day and ordered delicious pizza delivered the night we arrived. All in all a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable home that's very well appointed.

Very nicely decorated and very comfortable home with very nice bedding, etc. The kitchen was very well appointed with just about any kitchen tool you can think of being there. I LOVED that. Had a wee snag getting into the place but property owner was very apologetic for mistakes on his part communicating entry details. Just be sure you have all the details about getting to the property before you head up there as wifi is very bad outside of the home in that area. We would definitely consider going there again though. Quite a nice place to be.

Home-base for Yosemite visit with family

This was a GREAT, family friendly home close enough to use as a base for Yosemite visits. It also has the amenities of the Pine Mountain Lake community to offer. Jeff and Gina were very responsive to the issues and questions that came up during our stay. We were a group of 6 with 3 adults and 14 year old twin boys and 10 year old little brother. The boys really loved the game room when we weren't out and about and the adults enjoyed the the peace and quiet, the wildlife and the well stocked kitchen for meal prep. = not to mention the hot tub, enjoyed by all! Would highly recommend for a family vacation!

Great family vacation home

We spent a few days exploring Yosemite, and this house provided us with the perfect place to relax at night! The owners were incredibly thoughtful with details around the house (games and books for kids!) and the house was great for three generations of our family to share. Lots of wildlife and stars in the quiet neighborhood.

Week in Groveland

Really, really nice home with all the amenities. Very nice home that was convenient in getting to Yosemite with the Valley a little over an hour away by car. The owners did a nice job in dealing with a minor bee issue we had at the house. Would come back.

Beautiful cabin

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Pine Lake cabin. Gina and Jeff did a wonderful job making you feel right at home. It was so nice after spending the days in Yosemite to come back and relax in the hot tub, play some games in the game room and then have a good night sleep in the comfortable beds. They even had a bottle of California wine waiting for us that was made locally in the Groveland area. The drive to Pine Lake on hwy 120 coming from San Francisco is breath taking and the 45 minute drive to Yosemite are views you never get sick of. Thank you Gina and Jeff for making our trip to California a Pleasant and memorable one.

Our stay

Overall a good experience. The interiors were very nice. Loved the binder with helpful hints about what to do in the area. Exteriors were not that special, but the property was overall clean and tidy. We can see how this could definitely be a fun rental for larger groups of 6-8 people to hang out on the decks and enjoy the property. The owner makes a great effort at offering special touches such as extra toiletries and firewood starters.
