Waterfront Retreat, Lake Limestone

Welcome to our waterfront retreat. Enjoy the peaceful quiet setting . You can surely get that ahhhhh moment relaxing on the back porch with the water just a few feet away. Take the opportunity to sit on the pier at night and enjoy the breeze blowing across the lake. Bring the kids and fish from the pier, swim, and then take a spin in the paddle boat. The slow sloping, smooth sandy bottom, is ideal for kids who love the water. Pull your boat up to the pier and enjoy the entire lake. Bring your jug lines and fill up on catfish. You'll find a fish cleaning station on the covered patio. Pellet smoker/gas grill combo awaits on the back porch. Two queen beds and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds. There is a queen and a twin inflatable mattresses available if needed. Be sure to check out the updates that we have done during this spring of 2022. The cabinets and countertops have been updated throughout the house. The big addition is a new sun deck and french doors accessing the deck from the 2 lakeside bedrooms! For those that just have to have a television during their getaway, we have wifi and a large screen tv in the living room, dvd player and a large selection of dvds. I'll be glad to provide as much information as I can about the excellent fishing, local bait shop, catching your own bait, local grocery store and more.

Quaint and Quiet

The property was as described in listing. It was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the enclosed porch. The stormy weather kept us indoors but we cozied up and watched. The only thing that I would change is that the house was very scented with plug ins and all of the linens were heavily scented. Just not great for my allergies:)

Excellent fishing place!

We go on an annual fishing trip with our elder parents. They have so much fun at this place and the fishing never disappoints. The place is nice, the movie selection is great. We look forward to staying here every year!!

we enjoyed the stay. The fishing was great. All the food and puzzles and games were fun. The only problem we had was with the nest thermostat. Not one of us ever had a nest thermostat we had trouble trying to set it. But it all worked out in the end.

Week on the lake

My husband and I had a beautiful week on Lake Limestone. The October weather was warm and the lake inviting. The house was clean and well furnished, even some basic supplies were left in the kitchen for guests to use. Overall, we had a fine stay.

Excellent weekend away

Stumbled upon this listing while browsing waterfront properties, what a lucky find! My boyfriend and I spent labor day weekend with our pups. Better in person than pictures! Quiet, relaxing, just perfect. House has everything youd need for your stay. Swam, fished and enjoyed the lake front breeze.

Wonderful fishing retreat!!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We fished, swam, lounged on the deck and porch and overall just relaxed and had fun!! The house had everything we needed for the meals we brought to cook and the beds were very comfortable. A/C worked great, which is always a plus in this Texas summer heat. We caught fish all day long from the pier and were able to use our cast net to get shad to use for bait. All done without leaving the premises, no boat needed!! We will definitely book this place again in the future.

2nd time renting this cabin! Love the location and fishing here. The owner is great too! Grand kids love the deck and huge yard! Fishing off the dock in the evening is the best!

Great place for fishing!

Our family has now stayed here 2 years in a row, and the fishing has been great both times. The house is as listed and it is comfortable and perfect for a fishing weekend. The owner is super responsive.

If you are a fisherman, look no further. The house has everything you need, and a ramp is only a few minutes away. There is ample parking, and you can catch fish in front of the house. Enjoy your stay!!

What a relaxing weekend.

It was a perfect midway point between Houston and Fort Worth. Water was a nice temperature with cool spots easily found. We tried to paddle boat across lake, made it halfway and headed back. House has all appliances and we used them all. We had zero issue with house staying cool while it was 103 outside. The morning view from balcony canā€™t be beat. Weā€™ll be back.

Great peaceful getaway

This property is very clean with recent updates. Owner is very attentive if needed. Every amenity in house to have a relaxing time. Grandkids had a blast swimming and fishing. Wish we could have stayed longer but definitely plan on visiting again. Highly recommended!

a nice place right on the lake!

The property and house are very nice. Comfortable beds, clean throughout, nice renovations started and the view is beautiful. All the bedrooms are upstairs, along with two bathrooms. The a/c ran almost the entire time and had trouble keeping it cool. But also remember this is a record-breaking heat wave this summer. The sand at the lakeshore goes out quite a ways and made for nice swimming. Great food at The Farmhouse and at Billy B's Sale Barn Cafe. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the service was excellent.

Amazing Getaway!

This weekend met and exceeded our expectations. The closeness of the lake was absolutely perfect. The house was beautiful and super clean - felt like home. Thanks for making it so memorable for us!
