Swan - novel. Swan poo - disgusting. Bin/laundry rote past the door. Room thick in duct minging, fan, extractor, tv rear, Shower had obvious screw missing and bracket loose, lamp in corner a joke. Needs scrapping. Breakfast was very good - needed to be for the price too!

Great Location
Lovely hotel, very noisy especially on bin day (Tuesday morning), rooms are spacious and clean. Within easy travelling distance from town, have electric charge points and plenty of parking.

Room was dingy outdated and not very clean, carpet stained and sink cracked.Very noisy due to a stag and hen party, if it wasn't for the brilliant staff in the restaurant, we would have walked out. Noise, including abusive language carried on until the early hours of the morning. Breakfast was cold and staff didn't know how to work the coffee machine. Very disappointing visit. Apart from the evening meal which we enjoyed as much as we could with the noise and bad language

Hi Michelle, Thank you for your feedback, we don't host stag and hen parties, however I will apologise if there were any disturbances during your stay. It was a bank holiday weekend during your visit to us, and the hotel can get very busy. However we work extremely hard to limit any noise disturbances. We have a security team on site during the evening, who would've ensured there was no disturbances through the night from any residents, if this was the case they would've been asked to leave the premises. I have passed on your feedback regarding the breakfast, all of our staff are fully trained so I am not sure what has happened during your visit. I am of course pleased you enjoyed your evening meal, and I am sorry you were left so disappointed with your stay.

Very disappointed stay at Healing Manor
Very disappointed. Our room was filthy, full of dust . The carpets had mess all over it and definitely not seen a hoover , in a long time . Both my sister and I suffer with our breathing problems . We had to have it cleaned by the lovely lady , that was on reception. No other room available. This should never have happened. We stayed in the main house and the carpets all over, definitely not seen a hoover in a long time too . The fire alarm went off at 4am in the morning. It was like a carry movie . People were crying , getting nasty and the piercing sound of the fire alarm was terrible. The night porter had No idea how to silence it. It went on for over an hour . Thank god it wasn’t a real fire . I dread to think of the chaos. It would of caused . A lot of our family live in Healing village and we have stayed a lot in Healing manor for all different events. This isn’t the first time we have been disappointed with the cleanliness of the main house. We were given 20% discount but that’s nothing to what we paid . We traveled up from Devon for a lovely weekend away to a very special family event in the village and it was dampened , by the whole stay . Very disappointed customer 😢

Stunning grounds, and well presented rooms. However no air conditioning and small windows meant the room was extremely hot!

Dear Jack, thank you for your feedback, we are trying our very best to keep bedrooms as cool as possible in this weather. With fans, and air conditioning units. I hope this didn't impact your stay to much.

The room was a good size but as soon as we opened the door there was a horrible damp smell and disgusting old furniture that was in a poor state and the entrance was covered in spiders flies etc

Pleasant but air con needed
I booked a junior suite which was lovely. Unfortunately the room was stifling and the outside temperature was only 20 degrees. There were no windows, only two glass doors which I had open while I was inside, but obviously not while I slept. Two fans were provided but I really struggled to sleep. The room would be uninhabitable if it was 25+ outside. Other than this everything was great. Food in the pub and whistle was excellent, but a little pricey. £11.50 for desserts?

Good afternoon Daniel, Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. I understand your comments with regards to the heat in the rooms in the peak of summer. We have tried to take every precaution possible to ensure these rooms are kept cool. To do this like you mentioned we have invested in some cooling units to try to reduce the temperature, and ensured all bedrooms have access to fans. If you do find a room to warm please speak to member of the team and we will do whatever possible to reduce this. Thank you for your lovely comments on the food. Our food is served to a two rosette standard so we feel the prices of the food reflects the quality. I can confirm we offer two different menu's. A bar menu with slightly cheaper dishes and an Al A Carte menu where the dishes are more expensive. I hope this wont prevent you from dining with us again. Best wishes, Amy

Fabulous place
If your in the Grimsby area this is the place to stay, its beautiful the staff are amazing and the buffet breakfast was perfect. Lovely rooms around a courtyard such a relaxing stay. We have booked to stay again already.

Rooms getting basic clean only (dirt behind/round the back of things, many visitors hair trailing down from plugs if lifted out etc). Organisation variable, seemed to be run by not experienced hoteliers

Everything was excellent apart from there was no hand pull ale I was advised that Docks Beer would be on and it wasn't for my husbands birthday.

A little gem just requires a little polish
The best thing about this place is the staff - very very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little tired and if you have a room next to the court yard then it can be noisy late at night and early in the morning. I would stay here again but request a quieter room (round the side or back) They have free EV charging, just plug and play and more than ample parking. The food in the Pig & Whistle was excellent although a little on the expensive side. Breakfast was spot on, many choices and high quality. Overall and 8.5 out of 10 - Once again thanks to the staff for making us welcome.

We do apologise if you experienced some noise in your bedroom, unfortunately whilst we try to keep this to a minimum, we are sometimes unable to avoid this. We are more than happy to allocate you a bedroom within the inner house upon request if that is preferred for future bookings. We try to keep the bedroom decoration in keeping with the age of the building and the aesthetic of the property and its grounds, but we do appreciate this isn't for everyone.I am so pleased to hear you enjoyed your meal in the Pig & Whistle, i will pass on your positive feedback to the kitchen. With regards to the prices of the food, we believe our Two Rosette standard food is worth the few extra pennies, and we hope this wont prevent you from dining with us again. Great room and friendly staff. Very dog friendly with bowls in the room and the offer of dog treats. Lovely food with a lot of choice at breakfast (including gluten free)

Great stay for the Diana Ross tribute night. Beautiful room (1856) and the bottle of Prosecco was a lovely touch. Staff on reception were brilliant and the bar staff at the event on the evening were superb. Breakfast was a little chaotic as it was busy but other than that, wry enjoyable evening and stay

I will definitely be returning...
On my first nights stay here I was in a junior suite as that was the only room available that night, this room was fantastic quality with a four poster bed and a luxurious bathroom. The second night I was in a Executive double room which was also very nice and finished to a high standard. The rooms are nice here but the food from the restaurant is amazing and worth going for this alone. Both breakfast and evening meals were outstanding and very good value.

Check in was easy. Large car park. Room was in the main building. Clean with a great shower. Had to ask for complimentary shampoos ect as there were none in the room. The next day shampoos were replenished but not complimentary water. Meal in the Pig and Whistle was okay there was a leaflet on our table saying you got a free drink with your fish and chips on a Friday. As it was a Friday I checked with the waiter, when we got our bill at which he promptly ripped up the leaflet and told that the promotion had finished. All other staff were very friendly and the grounds are pleasant. We had a good nights sleep. All in all good but could be improved.

Hotel was beautiful , views stunning , room very large , roll top bath but when we opened our fridge there was a plate of mouldy food (obviously been there some time ) took it to reception nobody seemed bothered which i was quite shocked at as surely cleanliness would be a priority . We had 2 young children with us !
