Eclipse Weekend
This house is just fantastic. We got to watch the total eclipse from the deck! TV works great, kitchen has all you need and bedrooms are clean. thank you, Scott, or replying to messages so quickly.

Cozy with beautiful views
Close to everything with beautiful views. Pleasantly suprised with how warm the house was able to stay despite lake winds. This house is well cared for with lots of nice updates.

Beautiful place.
Everything was just as advertised. Only thing that wasn’t like the pics was the fire pit. Pics showed beautiful fire pit with concrete seating benches and nice paver patio. It actually had old wooden seating and over grown patio area. But don’t let that keep u from renting because everything else was beautiful.

Relaxation at the lake
The week at Moosehead lake was very relaxing and the house lake was very comfortable. The house was close in location to town and we enjoyed the opportunity of walking into town. (Approximately 2 miles) We rented a boat from wild ones rentals and enjoyed the beautiful lake for a few days. The area is great for hiking and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Dinner at Birches Resort in Rockwood, was wonderful!

Great getaway
Perfect location. A mile from everything you would need. Home has all brand new appliances and plenty of kitchen essentials. Dock on the lake after using the fire pit is great for star gazing . Great views from interior of house as well as the deck . Do yourself a favor and take a ride on a float plane. Curriers literally at the end of the street. Owners responded to any inquiries we had with in 5 minutes .

Perfect, absolutely perfect!
We had an incredible stay for the International Seaplane Fly In...super convenient to town, but also peaceful for kayaking and relaxing dockside with the loons and ducks! The house is perfectly appointed, with 4 kayaks, a canoe, bikes...so much fun to be had! We had a special note with champagne for our arrival, and the living spaces were gorgeous. Can't say enough about Moosehead Hideaway!

Perfection!
The house was clean and inviting, and Scott was so kind as to leave a bottle of champagne and flowers to welcome us! My whole family really enjoyed using the canoe and kayaks. The views from this property are stunning. We loved watching all the seaplanes take off & land, listening to the loons in the early morning, and even had the privilege of watching a bald eagle fly by right in front of the dock one evening. We had a truly enjoyable time vacationing here, despite the inconsistent weather. Would definitely stay at this property again!

Great view, but different than we envisioned
The overall stay was fine. The view was great! However, we were not expecting all the noise from the water planes taking off and landing nearby or the no-see-um bugs. They were out in force keeping us from enjoying the patio furniture. We also didn't realize the beds were not both queen-sized, but one full and the other a queen upstairs. Because I am a light sleeper I gave our parents the open loft thinking it would be quieter in the bedroom, but soon thereafter, realized my husband and I had a full-sized bed that was not comfortable for two adults, so I ended up sleeping in the third bedroom in the twin bed all week. We also didn't realize, which is also on us, that there was no air conditioning, and with all of us being 55+ we were hot. Nights we nicer with all the windows open and the breeze. There were also not enough towels, we had four people with only four towels for the week (between both bathrooms). So plan on doing laundry or bring your own extra. So all in all it was good, just not for us.

Wonderful home for a family lake getaway
We had a great stay and truly enjoyed the home and lake. The home is well stocked with recreational gear and all the kitchen amenities needed. The view from inside really made it special!

Wonderful Piece of Heaven
Where do I start? Entering the house was easy with the code provided by host. Very clean and organized interior and the bedrooms were great! The kids room had games and great twin beds with lake house sheets and comforters. Our daughter and son in law stayed in the bedroom opposite the kids- both had fans and looked very comfortable. They also had their own bathroom. The first floor bedrooms were part of the downstairs with the kitchen and living room included. Living room had TV with Netflix which came in handy as the weather was ok but not great- weather is a crap shoot when planning a vacation months in advance. The upstairs bedroom (suite) area was huge with its own bathroom and large living space. The view to the lake was wonderful- not only from this bedroom but from the entire front of the house. There were kayaks and a canoe and plenty of blow up tubes that the kids loved. Bring a air pump- we found a bike pump in the basement but a electric pump works faster. The dock was a great place to relax and watch the kids. The lake was just beautiful- hardly any motor boat activity and we loved watching the sea planes land and take off. Also loved watching a mother duck and her ducklings cruise by daily. Oh and the loons- we had one pop up right in front of us one day. Great vacation!

Too dirty
Too dirty and in poor condition. The refrigerator was not cleaned at all. The sink and the surroundings were in a very dirty state. The inside of the cabinet was not cleaned at all.

Wonderful Vacation
We had a wonderful vacation in one of my favorite spots in Maine. The location of this home is perfect. Close to town with wonderful views. The house was well stocked with supplies and Scott was very easy to communicate with. He had many wonderful suggestions on places to visit. The kayaks were a great bonus as well! My only complaint was with the neighbors. They were very noisy especially in the evenings and their dogs had a habit of wandering into the yard.

Returned after 10 years!
We returned after 10 years and it was exactly how we remembered. We came back to rest, relax and rejuvenate. It was nice to wake up and look out at the lake. We went kayaking a number of times as weather permitting. We watched sea planes take off and land in front of us. We enjoyed the dock with lounge chairs. We enjoyed the ducks and loons as well as the sunsets. Whenever we needed to talk with the owner, Scott was reachable and accommodating. The house was equipped with our needs. We stayed two weeks this time. We enjoyed the local people while we dined out, or visited the local shops and grocery store. We almost felt included as one of the locals. Thank you Scott! We enjoyed our stay!

Scenic and peaceful
The house is lovely and spacious for this family of 6. The view from the houses and dock was spectacular! We enjoyed a week of peaceful relaxation with plenty of time on the lake with the kayaks that were provided. A definite plus! We were just a short car ride from the village ( or a long early morning walk which my husband enjoyed ) with it's unique shops and a variety of restaurants. The owners were just a text away with a quick response to our questions. I definitely recommend their lovely lake house!

Just a short pedal or paddle...
Our family has stayed all over the Greenville area. This property is not only on the lake, but a short adventure to town on kayaks or bikes that are provided. Quiet, comfortable and relaxing.

An Amazing Lake House
I couldn’t have been happier with the house. Loved the attention to detail with all the decor. It was very clean and we enjoyed taking the kayaks out! The view is just spectacular.

Great snowmobiling trip
We had a great stay. I really like the house and everything was easy, which is a blessing during a vacation. The location is great for winter (and probably summer). Already dreaming of our next trip.

Fun Weekend Get Away
We arrived just before a snow storm and this was a great place to enjoy watching the snow fall and enjoy after it ended. Great view of the lake and mountains. Conveniently located close to town. Scott was quick to respond to a few questions we had upon arrival. Enjoyed snowmobiling on nearby trails.

Great place to unplug!
It was a wonderful stay with a wonderful snowy view. We walked through the snow into town for lunch, went ice skating at the school, snowshoed at the visitor’s center and frolicked and played in the snow around the property. A wonderful way to start the new year as a family!

Well equipped waterfront location
We had a comfortable stay at this waterfront property. The owner was responsive and check-in went smoothly. The unit was comfortable and well equipped. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to make use of the boats, bikes, etc., and the dock, deck furniture and fire pit were put away for the winter. Not unreasonable for late October. We would have appreciated a tea kettle in the kitchen & reading lamps in the main room since we spent much time indoors. The fireplace was cozy and very welcome. The neighboring home seems to be under construction, but it did not disturb us. All in all, I would recommend this home in the summer months.

Beautiful, quiet & relaxing
Great location to relax and unwind. Small town, but great food at all locations we visited. Spent a day hiking, another day on a utv that we rented at north mountain outfitters, and the rest of our week was spent looking for moose & relaxing. We were fortunate enough to see 14 moose one day!!! The house was nice and location was perfect! There is a loon on the lake that made its appearance in front of the house daily. Our only issues were that the house could have been cleaner, the fireplace worked on and off, there was a broken light dimmer switch, & the thermostat would reset itself in the middle of the night and we would wake up to a chilly house in the morning. However, with the loft, it always warmed up fast! Scott was quick to answer our calls and accommodating.

Stunning lake front location
We have stayed in several VRBO properties and this was one of our favorites. The location is perfect. It is right on the lake and close to town. The beds were comfortable and the Roku was super easy to use to unwind watching Netflix after a day of adventuring. Highly recommend taking a guided tour to see moose as we were fortunate enough to see several on our morning tour. The neighbors seem to live outside so it was not as easy to enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake at night. We did hear the loons and that was special. The clear dark sky allows for amazing star gazing.

Amazing location! Highly recommend!
What a find! This property was just absolutely everything we had hoped for. The owners were always available for any questions and the check-in process was a breeze. It was clean, the water access was perfect, and the house had everything we needed all the way down to a canoe, kayaks, and wood for the firepit. Wonderful!

Great house, great location
If you’re considering the Greenville area, this is a great spot. Right on the lake, easy access for kayaks etc. There are a lot of things to do - we planned on just relaxing and doing nothing but ended up doing a sea plane ride, fishing charter, hitting moose spots, a cruise on the Katahdin, awesome dinner at the Blair Hill Inn, Mt Kineo. Great week, great house, great location. Owner is very responsive and helpful. You won’t be disappointed!

Great time!
We loved that there were kayaks there that we could use. Easy access to the lake with the kayaks as well. Plenty of life jackets to choose from. Fire pit ring was large and heated the seating area nicely. Indoor gas fireplace was nice too but make sure the ceiling fans are on otherwise it will get too hot in the loft. All surfaces were well cleaned but there were some neglected areas (lots of accumulated dust/dirt where the step and riser meet on stairs going up to the loft, I had to wipe out vanity drawers before we put our stuff in them). Overall the house was clean. Nicely stocked plates, mugs, glasses and utensils. Washer and dryer in the basement worked well and was very convenient to have. Close to the center of town. Quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed ourselves! We booked ATVs and a Katahdin cruise through Northwoods Outfitters in town. Very nice to work with and helpful. We hiked up Big Moose Mountain. Very strenuous but great views from the top. We ate at the Stressfree Moose, Cafe Crepe, Birch Bark Bakery, and Dockside Inn. All had good food and friendly staff. We also went horseback riding at Cedar Winds Stable about an hour south of Greenville. Very nice owners and an easy ride through the woods.

Beautiful location and great access to some of the most amazing trails.
Property was great. Golfing at Mt Kineo was amazing. Hiking trails were easily accessible and beautiful. One issue with neighbor next door that basically lived outside all day and night Obnoxious at night and diminished the beautiful and peaceful surrounding.

Great View
The house was very nice and clean and the view was spectacular. The only negatives we had were that you couldn't really swim or fish at the property (shallow and rocky) and there were very noisy neighbors right next door. But the house had everything you might need for your stay. The presence of kayaks was a real plus.

Stunning lake views, Gorgeous, Private, a Gem!
We absolutely loved our stay! The house is absolutely stunning, clean with lovely lake views. The upstairs bedroom is exquisite. Everything we needed was at the cabin. We ate together outside at a large, family table overlooking the lake. Such a beautiful retreat and we now have so many memories... Highly recommended!

Our family of four loved our stay here. Location is close to town and minutes to anything you need. Owner was easy to communicate with from initial questions about the property, to booking and making sure all was well after arrival. Extra amenities (kayaks, canoe, bikes) were a nice bonus. Perfect getaway
The house is beautifully located along one of the bays of Moosehead Lake, providing gorgeous views of the lake and easy launching of kayaks. We enjoyed several lake excursions on the provided kayaks and my son even tried his hand at fishing. The house was comfortable with all of the desired conveniences. It was located close to Greenville allowing easy access to the restaurants and grocery store. We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the area. It is a perfect location for rest and relaxation.

Peace and tranquility!
My fiance and I had a very relaxing stay here! Even though the lake was frozen still, it did not take away from the gorgeous views and made it even more quiet. The house was wonderful. Very open with high ceilings and a wall of gorgeous windows that fills the house with all the natural light you could want. A very quiet street. We want for some lovely walks and saw deer almost everyday. Will definitely be back when the lake is melted! Highly recommend.

Great winter stay on the lake!
The property is very well-located right on Moosehead Lake and just a few minutes from the center of town in Greenville. We were on a snowmobiling trip with the family and we enjoyed quick and easy access to the trails (and lakeside restaurants) via the lake. Scott was a prompt communicator and the check-in/check-out process was a breeze.
