We stayed here 2 years ago. This was probably a great hotel 20 YEARS AGO. It has all the makings to be great again BUT someone has to put the money back into it. Elevators are old and dirty. The views once you get to your room are out of this world. Spend the money and make it nice again. This could be a 5 star hotel

Stay away from room 224 which is close to sewage
Our room was downgraded because the original booked room was smelling sewage (really bad that my wife got an allergic reaction). The reception neglected to make any compensation for the downgraded room to two twin beds instead of the original booked king size bed. Few minors were like missing hot water (only warm water locked to specific safe temperature at the shower) and super loud music from a wedding event outside the rooms.

In one word DISGUSTING. We had to change rooms three times before we got one that was actually fit for human habitation. First room No. 303 had a mattress which had significant faeces and urine stains. Second room No. 220 stunk of raw sewage and had mould and termite damage in the bathroom. Third room No. 103 had air con that was set at 26 deg Celsius and way too hot. Overall the place is very dated with useless aircon, crappy lifts that don’t work most of the time and very arrogant and unhelpful management / reception staff. The other cleaning and service staff were excellent and they too could see and smell everything I have stated in this review. I would never go back and strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. In an attempt for them to mask / fix the sewage smell, they sprayed some unknown substance in the ducts which resulted in me being unwell for two days and confined to the room. When this was brought to the managers attention he was basically dismissive and would not provide details of the substance used. I even requested an incident report which is unheard of to them and still not received.

Beautiful location. But 1 star property at best NOT 5 STAR.... Dirty, allot of deferred maintenance. Dirty elevators when they worked. No air conditioning in common areas lobby restaurants. Limited food options some staff good. But most were not accommodating to help . Hvac in room was not cooling. Mold mildew in bathrooms, bath shower fixtures not working properly. Worn out floors, walls furniture and linens .....

It was such a wonderful experience to stay at the Ionian Blue hotel people. It was so clean and the staff was so friendly and willing to help. We truly enjoyed our vacation in Lefkada.

We booked one night at that property because we were the guests at the wedding reception that took place that evening here at the property . The pool area was nice and they accommodated us with extra bed in the room for a 2nd child. But the air conditioning didn’t work at all. The thermostat in the room was locked at 30 C and and didn’t go down. The sweat was dripping from our faces while we were dressing to attend the reception. We asked for a different room but the hotel receptionist was not able to fix the issue. By the time the reception started both kids exhibited the signs of the heat stroke. We had no choice but to abandon the wedding reception and check out of the hotel much much earlier because we couldn’t imagine sleeping a night in this room. We had to drive 2.5 hours in the middle of the night to our house that has normal air conditioning. I didn’t expect that a 5 star hotel would have no air conditioning in the room.

We would like to inform you as we have already told you during your stay in our hotel that the problem was not ours but the electricity company's which because of the extremely heat could not support the power of electricity in our hotel.All our air conditioning equipment have been serviced and checked on 5th July and we have got a written notice for all these.As of course you saw ,our hotel has got a lot of facilities like restaurants, spa beach bar and pool bar and they all worked normally.We mention this because there was not anything we could do about the air condition as it was not our problem.

This property could be amazing unfortunately rooms are outdated. Hardly any air conditioning because it is controlled and room was registering at 29 degrees And extremely bad fumes come out of bathroom drains. Food was very good but no air conditioning in indoor dining area. It’s so unfortunate becsuse it misrepresents itself as a 5 star hotel. Staff was wonderful

The problem with the air condition, as we have already informed you during your stay was not the hotel's but the electricity company's problem, which with this extremely heat could not support the power and we had contant blackouts.All the facilities in our hotel work properly like restaurants, spa ,pool bar beach bar so the A/C was not our problem

I had two rooms and both very dirty. In one of the two room balconies a plant 15 cm high was growing. The one of the two bathroom toilet was leaking and was not cleaned you can see the stains between the lip of the toilet. Under beds in both rooms and the floors were very dirty and the furniture sticky. Definitely not a 5 star maybe a 2 star because lacking upkeep and maintenance. AC system the worse in both rooms will never reach 20 Celsius. Hotel rooms at least need updating in order to charge over 200 euros the night per room but the cleaning issue was my worst experience.

Amazing location and architecture with iconic views but the condition of the building is pretty bad. The property has not been renovated since they built it. All of the facilities are old. The air conditioner wasn't working properly. The staff was trying to do their best but they didn't have that experience for 5-star hotel. Its a pity as the hotel is one of the best in Lefkada, but the operator is not the one that deserves.

Air conditioning is central you cannot control it in your bedroom 29°C constantly I wanted to die . Housekeeping entering bedroom whenever they feel like even though I left a signed do not disturb and they still came into my bedroom twice. Very disrespectful. Property not clean. Definitely not five star hotel. Never again.

Great hotel…. Food terrible!
Great hotel & location, pool was a great size and decking area by the sea was lovely. The only thing that let the hotel down was the food at the buffet in the evening….. it was terrible.

Die Anlage an sich macht einen guten Eindruck. Jedoch sind die goldenen Zeiten vorbei und verdient nicht mehr die ausgewiesenen 5 Sterne. Dazu wurde einiges vernachlässigt wie z.B. zu erneuerndes Silikon im Bad und zu behandelndes Holz im Aussenbereich. Das Zimmer ist groß und sauber. Die Matratze angenehm hart. Die klappernden Lüfter der Kühltheke im Speisesaal und das akzeptieren einer hungrigen Katze mindern erneut die 5 Sterne.

Χρειάζεται ανακίνηση. Η φθορά εμφανής Πολύ καλά στημένο με ωραίους χώρους πέριξ των οικιών, αλλά χρειάζεται δουλειά. Με υστέρηση η κουζίνα, εξαιρείται το πασχαλινό εορταστικό μενού που ήταν εξαιρετικό. Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία.

Hotel place and structure is excellent, close to amazing. Service is poor but kindness of staff is very high. Director have to solve the "breakfast problem" with big line, no disks and the same poor menu for such hotel, every day.

Grandiose Aussicht über das Meer, jedes Zimmer hat Unterbauten Blick aufs Wasser. Riesiger Pool, Zugang zum Meer. Leider etwas ausserhalb gelegen, daher ist ein Mietwagen oder Taxi für Ausflüge oder Restaurantbesuche unerlässlich. Personal oft überfordert, Abendessen leider nicht besonders gut.

Hôtel classé 5 étoiles mais ne vaut pas plus que 3 étoiles. Les 5 étoiles sont uniquement pour le site. le service est moyen, le wifi inexistant malgré les demandes et à part nous dire que cela venait de nos appareils, rien n'a été fait. pourtant, tous les clients se plaignent de cela. nous avions réservé une chambre vue sur mer, nous avons eu vue sur un pin...chambre très ordinaire, rien de 5 étoiles...la literie est très dure et le matelas très fin. notre fils a dormi sur un lit d'appoint, aucun protège matelas, ce qui est complètement inacceptable avec la Covid et les problèmes de puces de lit... la salle de bain avait de la moisissure et la baignoire avait des trous colmatés avec du joint, le plafond de la chambre de belles traces de fuites d'eau, très classe pour un 5 étoiles... Nous avions pris la formule diner et pdj inclus, pratique. Buffet à volonté pour les 2, nourriture moyenne. à noter également que parmi tous les hôtels que nous avons fait en Grèce ( et nous en avons fait en 15 jours), c'est le seul qui ne fournit pas de bouteille d'eau à l'arrivée... mais le site est beau, la piscine est magnifique et très agréable. l'accès à la mer est très bien fait et très pratique, surtout pour la Grèce où une bonne majorité des plages sont des plages de galets... de plus, c'est le seul endroit où nous avons eu la chance de voir un peu de poissons en faisant du snorkeling. Tout n'est pas négatif.

Stayed here last week for 7 days in one of the private bungalows, amazing clean and everything you could want a nice break. The private pool and terrace was beautiful. The staff where all great friendly and went above and beyond. The main hotel was clean and a very safe environment. The food selection was good. All in all a great hotel and will be back again.
