Additionally, the cottage’s proximity to High Street offers opportunities for shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. To the rear of the cottage, is a small privately run caravan holiday park, where guests are welcome to enjoy the clubhouse restaurant and bar, with its seasonal entertainment, arcade, and outside there is a play area for younger children. Coastguard Cottage is located within a no-through road, so there is no traffic disturbance. Nearby is Caister Castle ruins, the classic car museum, and racecourse with a stock car, greyhound, motorcycle, hot rod racing, and Monster Truck shows. The traditional seaside town of Great Yarmouth boasts a wide sandy beach, the pleasure beach promenade with amusements, fun fairs, pitch, and putt, a leisure centre with an indoor swimming pool, and a town centre with shops, supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants.
