"Bar and breakfast rooms were great..clean room..however we were given top floor room with four flights of stairs.. room too small for a double with very uneven floor.. Room was very hot window only opened six inches not much air coming in.fan provided was useless.. didn’t get much sleep as we were hot sticky and itratible..not going back.this was not in the heatwave.. the following weekend .."

"This is a no frills hotel but it’s all you need for a night or two stay, it’s clean, beds comfortable, shower was lovely and they put towels and a soap n shower gel new with your towel set. We never used the towels as I always like to bring my own from home. Kettle and coffee n milk jiggers and two cups and there was a full size fridge in the room and a tv on wall. "The staff were immediately helpful when the key card wouldn't work. They were also helpful in getting me something to drink after a heavily warm day. The room was basic but useful The bathroom was efficient in the use of its space. Breakfast was a refreshing start to my morning, especially the fresh water on tap, being nice and chilly. The wifi was quick enough to be useful and not a hinderance like larger hotels. It was easy to travel to and from my hotel of choice."

"Beautiful setting near a canal, room was lovely a huge bed! Slept really well, staff so friendly and welcoming. Food was lovely in the restaurant staff very helpful, definitely be going back there and recommend to my friends."

"Terrible experience on both Expedia and the hotel. I booked a room, did the pre-checking online after expedia sends me a messague. When I go to the hotel around 6.30 p.m. the guy at reception casually tells me that they cannot accommodate me because they had an issue with my room. That's it. On top of that; the person at reception tells me as if it helps that they contacted Expedia at 5p.m. which then when I called Expedia hours later after doing my own arrangements was not True. Horrible...

"The hotel is a very old building and internally it did look a bit tired but the room was clean and well stocked. Some rooms are in one building and rest are above the pub. Would definitely book again as very convenient to NEC"
