"Our stay at the James House was very relaxing. We had 3 generations and comfortably housed 7 of us. The layout was great, the kitchen was well stocked and the fishing on Chemo Lake was unmatched. We rented a pontoon boat from Josh as well and that process was smooth and seemed, allowing us to fish, tube and explore the lake daily. I would highly recommend. If you are not an early riser, I would be aware that there is a landscaping company located directly across the road from the house which did...

"We had a terrific week on Beech Hill Pond! This is our 2nd year working with Josh and he makes the whole process (from booking to check-out) so smooth and easy. The property location is perfect that is gave us privacy but direct access to the lake and easy trips to Ellsworth for dinners and Bar Harbor for the day. We had everything we need as far as amenities and use water sports equipment. We rented a pontoon and tube from Lakeside Rental and thoroughly enjoyed every moment on the lake. ...

"This house is amazing! It is the perfect oasis after a day exploring Maine. The layout of the house was perfect and gave everyone quiet peaceful rest areas and large gathering spaces for us to be together. The setting of the house is peaceful and the view of the lake is beautiful. The house is well equipped and really felt more like home than a vacation rental. Of course our family favorite was the screen in porch area. The host was easy to work with and check in and check out was a breeze. 5...

"Three days felt like a step back in time in this classic camp. Nothing to do but be still in a beautiful place. The far side of the lake boasts beautiful rocks and views of Spruce Mountain. The water was warm, the air clear. Multiple boats for our use were great. We spent hours on and in the water. Christian was a generous and friendly host. Thanks for sharing this place with us."

"We had a great time in this off grid cabin. It was a beautiful location in a really lovely wood cottage. Our favorite part was just relaxing on the screened in porch listening to the loons in the evening. It got a little hot during our stay, so the limited electricity for a fan was a bummer but not a dealbreaker by any means. Would definitely recommend. "

"This cabin was a lovely find! It’s tucked away behind a few trees, and yet right on the lake. There’s a beach a few steps away, and with kayaks and other water gear for use as well. It’s quite welcoming and easily accommodates a large group. The hosts are communicative and respond timely to questions. We love the area and would absolutely stay at the cabin again."
