"The property is in a great location, and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the heating in our Cottage room was not working and, as it was winter, we were quite cold during our stay. It was a shame, as overall we found the property very pleasant."

"This cabin was a delight. Large, warm, and set amidst a beautiful forest near the sea by a short walk. Koalas in trees were an amazing highlight. Also near the Cape Otway lighthouse with fascinating history. "
"Incredible stay at Basalt Retreat! We enjoyed a cozy and luxurious evening the beautiful vineyard, made even more lovely by the complimentary bottle of prosecco and warm hot cocoa. The space itself is gorgeous and so well appointed—from the fascinating books to the gorgeously-scented bath products. Breakfast was delicious: an exquisite croissant loaf with butter and fig jam, plus yogurt and muesli, all made by local purveyors. If you have time, make sure to get lunch at the lovely restaurant....
