"My husband and I enjoyed our stay, but our 8 month old lab LOVED it! We enjoyed the horses coming by for a carrot now and then. The cabin was nice and I especially appreciated the bed and linens. Kitchen was as advertised and the hot tub was great!It’s in a great area for hiking which we did even though it rained a good bit while we were there."

"Home was good, central location for a 4 day exploration of this part of WV. Got some quirks, but comfortable.....One caution is that parking is extremely difficult for a full size pick up truck (F150). Backing in is only choice, and even then a huge stump is in play. Basically left F150 parked all weekend, as you can't get it out with another car in driveway ...other car was Ridgeline compact pickup.Watch your head if you are tall. Cracked head into wall over washer/dryer, entry light,...

"The house is perfect and the space is completely immaculate. To be clear the front porch faces what looks like a gas station but actually is a country store ran by the nicest family. The right side of the house offers gorgeous river views. We were comfortable we absolutely loved our time down by the river. We had a fire we went fishing. It’s one of the best family trips we’ve taken."

"The property is immaculately cared for. The view is stunning. I caught myself looking out at the mountains the first thing I did in the morning and the last thing I did at night. "Really loved Mary’s Place. Before arriving I was slightly apprehensive about the train noise but in reality it was fine. There were maybe a couple of overnight trains that went by (and some around 7am) which we did all wake up briefly for but it definitely didn’t impact our stay. The house and setting was beautiful and well-appointed. We had everything we needed and Amy was brilliant at sorting things out when we had a question. I would definitely recommend it to others - don’t let the proximity...
