"This is the second time we have stayed at the Grand Dunes. We were there one year ago, liked the property and returned this year. It had an old time style from the lobby to the rooms.
This year we found the room to be quite neglected. The items we noted were as follows:
The shower door would not close and had about a 6" gap.
The iron had the pointed end broken completely off.
The TV cabinet doors were hanging by only one hinge so it could not be closed.

"While understaffed, the limited crew was very friendly and accommodating. I wish we were able to take advantage of the onsite pool, but we were informed at check-in that the pool was currently “down” or “closed”.
The building is a little dated and could use some upgrades.

"The rooms are privately owned, and the hotel is nice, but the rooms are outdated. They were clean but need to be upgraded. We booked 17 rooms for a party, and all of our guests had complaints about the rooms. They had to change several rooms. For the price, I would stay at a different hotel when we go back next year."

"Excellent property the only issues we had was with the shower in the primary bathroom not draining properly and the ceiling fan in the primary bedroom not functioning properly. We didn’t stay long so it wasn’t a huge issue as the ac was adequate and the shower was the worse the last day of our stay."

"I absolutely love the location!!......However, upgrades are definitely in order......We made the best of the experience, it was my husband's birthday and I didn't want the condo not being clean ruin it for him.....The staff on the property were pleasant and super professional. Mrs. Elaine, our maintenance professional, was absolutely amazing as well!!! She was a highlight 😊......Everything would have been perfect had our condo been clean!!!!!!!!"

"Though not the newest or most modern, the accessibility, parking and beach proximity was unbeatable. Loved the security for access to the bldg and rooms.
We didn’t use the pools or hot tub but folks were usually there.
Convenient parking and space to load/unload.
Down on 21st so a little walk to busiest street shops etc but quite convenient to good seafood, Italian, burgers, breakfast etc on 23rd
We liked it so much we extended 1 extra day. We even tried to book for the following bike...
