We specifically booked a handicap-accessible room with a walk-in shower to ensure my husband could maintain his independence while bathing. Instead, we were given a room with a tub, which made it impossible for him to shower on his own. Although we had to specifically request it, the hotel eventually provided a tub chair. However, this did not resolve the core issue – his independence.
I brought the issue to the front desk and asked to speak with a manager, but was told it was too late at night to contact them. The next morning, I followed up again and was told they had called the manager, reached voicemail, and would get back to us. We still have not heard back from the hotel.
The hotel has shown no effort to correct their mistake or acknowledge the impact it had on us. Their lack of communication and accountability is deeply disappointing.
