Rude receptionist, I have worked in customer service and I know how to greet customers much more than this expressionless man.
First issue, booked me to a room with flush not working. Gives me a plunger and tell me to use it and see if that work (the F**k seriously?? But I guess cheap hotels come with its perks)
Call the front desk, tell him that did not work, and he says “ ok come to the front desk”. Iam like ok but why? Says, “ I will give you a new room”.Again “ give you a new room” no “ sorry, I will assign/re-book” no Customer Service (CS) etiquette.
I say ok, he assigns a new room and Iam like OK. No issues, Iam booked for 2nights.
Next day I have plans, head out. Come back late at about 11pm, and cannot open the room with my key card. It is cold outside, i try to call front desk - no response. So, shivering I walk to the front desk. This time a very helpful lady says, “oh maybe he booked you for only 1 night.” I mean common you have my booking details, I understand you had to shift my room because your washroom flush was not working, but atleast you could assign the key for the duration of my stay.
Next! No housekeeping! But again that is something you expect with cheap ass motels. My dissatisfaction is- my stay was based on the reviews and ratings, but I don’t know maybe because of my appearance and accent this person when I checked in was condescending.
The lady I talked the next day when I was locked out was so very polite.
