Beautiful home and location. Quiet, excellent place to get away for a weekend. Our only complaint is that there was no hot water for two of the three days we were there. We notified the owner the first night of our stay, and rather than just believing us when we told them there was no hot water and sending someone as soon as they could, they asked us to continuously keep checking to see if it was working and seemed to think the problem must be us rather than an issue with their water heater. Eventually, they finally seemed convinced that we werenāt imagining the problem and had a plumber come out. The plumber did find a problem with the water heater, fixed it, and we had hot water finally a couple hours later. Perhaps the problem wouldnāt have been solved any faster even if the owner believed us initially, but it was still surprising to us that their initial response was defensive (telling us theyād never had issues for two years, and that no one else whoād been they recently reported an issue) as opposed to just offering to help solve the problem as promptly as possible. Aside from that interaction, and the fact that we had no hot water at a home we paid nearly $1K to stay at for two nights (the owner didnāt offer anything to compensate for the inconvenience of no hot water), the place was very nice. I imagine the hot water wonāt be an issue for folks now that the plumber fixed the issue, but if any issues do arise the owners seem reluctant rather than willing to help.
