"Great Bear is a lovely chalet with breathtaking views in a unique environment. I cannot think of a better summer escape, given the stunning surroundings of the Val Hérens, the local cuisine, produce, meat products, and delicious wines. The chalet fits the rustic character of the tiny village perfectly, while affording the necessary comforts for an Alpine stay. Absolutely LOVED IT!!!"

"Das Chalet selbst hat uns gut gefallen. Es war klein, aber hatte alles was man braucht. Die Aussicht, die wir morgens hatten, war atemberaubend schön. Dafür fährt man aber auch 20 Minuten durch Serpentinen den Berg hoch, um zu dem Chalet zu gelangen. Es sind mehrere andere Chalets in der Nähe, ansonsten ist man aber ganz ungestört. Es gibt in der Nähe ein Restaurant, was aber als wir da waren durchgehend geschlossen war und einen Dorfladen, der alles hat was man braucht aber sehr teuer ist. Die...

It was conveniently located for day trips and is located in a fun community with many options for restaurants and grocery stores.
