"It’s a brand new hotel so expected it to be clean. However was very impressed with how comfortable it was, amazing shower and very engaging staff. Would definitely stay again."
"Booked the hotel to be able to get into Cardiff for a concert. Good access and parking. Relatively easy to get to Cardiff via Uber to Newport station and then train. Unfortunately had to leave early next morning so didn't get to sample breakfast though it looked very nice. Would stay again."
"Interesting rambling hotel built into the hillside, resulting in multiple steps up to the bedrooms. Excellent restaurant and friendly and helpful staff.
Minor niggles on the plumbing & shower: the cold pipe appear to be bundled with the hot and produces tepid water unless run for a long time - not ideal in a heatwave. The soap dispensers are about head level that make them awkward to operate. A lower location would be better. No basket or shelf in the shower for flannel or own soap or shampoo."
"Really lovely hotel, the lady on reception was great- so welcoming and friendly. Room was perfect just for a small get away over night with a lovely restaurant and beer garden. "
"Friendly welcome. Tasty evening meal from a good choice of dishes. Very comfortable nights sleep and great full English breakfast to dsend us on our way. Lighting rather dim: bathroom possibly requires new fluorescent bulb: in bedroom, one of the three bulbs u/s so needs replscing and LHS bedside light bulb was quite dusty. Ligting ptroblem reported to management who took note and said they would sort asap.
