    Camp Creek Trail Retreat



    The Space:

    Beautifully designed and owner-built, this home tucked into the trees offers three Cs in abundance - calm, comfort, and convenience. Within walking distance to hiking trails, restaurants, shops, bars, and other amenities, you’ll nonetheless feel like you’ve escaped from it all in this quiet location. The open-plan main living space features hardwood floors, lots of natural light, and cabin-modern furnishings. The chef will love the spacious, well-equipped kitchen, featuring a full suite of stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space. Dine together at the large, window-front table or grab a kitchen island barstool for casual meals and conversation.



    After a day of exploring and enjoying many mountain activities, relax at home in the main living area with a board game. Head upstairs to the den or downstairs to the bonus room to stream the latest release or pop in a movie. Fire up the gas grill on the deck for a family barbecue and dine alfresco before calling it a night. The downstairs bunk room is an excellent choice for a second family to stay or all the kids, with its TV lounge and a full bathroom.



    The perfect Mt. Hood vacation awaits - all that’s left to do is book it.

The house is located just a short walk from everything in Gov’t Camp but far enough away to feel away from it all.

My Hood ski camp base

This was the perfect home base for our kids who were attending a ski camp at Timberline. Perfect location, easy walk to town. And a super clean and comfortable home to come back to after long and exhausting days!

Wedding weekend

Fantastic spacious accommodations for bride and her family (6 adults) Plenty of space for the bridal party of 7 to get ready and relax. It was clean, well stocked and perfect for a weekend with very high expectations!

Another Amazing Trip

Stayed for the second winter for a long ski weekend with two families (4 adults and 4 kids). House is lovely, clean, and perfect for families! Highly recommend!

Wonderful cabin in the woods

Beautiful home well located up the hill from the Huckleberry Inn. Good communication. Our family with older kids enjoyed having so much space.

Another great stay with Vacasa

The house is in great condition, suer clean, has everything we needed. The neighbors are quiet and very private. It is very close to meadow where we spent most of time over there. I highly recommend it

Great House

If you are looking to stay in Government Camp this is the perfect spot. 3 min walk to main strip. The house is awesome - clean, spacious comfortable. There is nothing that I could recommend to improve. Basement bedroom/family room/bathroom is cool on even the hottest days (part of our stay was a string of 100+ days). Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the towels and linens were great.

Wooded Gov Camp Cabin

Very quiet area just north of business district. Very well appointed. Perfect for couples or families. Lots of space to spread out on all 3 floor levels. At times basement level was challenging to keep warm. Provided step stool was much needed to access elevated queen mattress. Easy walking distance to town and local restaurants. Would rent this house again.

Successful ski trip

This house is a 12 out 10 stars. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous cabin in Gov Camp. The large family area is comfortable and cozy, nicely connected to kitchen with an open concept. The bedrooms all have their own large bathrooms; linens are soft, comfortable, and very clean; entry way has great space for taking on/off boots/coats/gear; dining table is very large and has lots of space around. Even the check out was great, super simple and easy via text message. We will definitely go to Mt Hood Meadows again this season and will definitely pick this house for our stay.

Spacious Home, Nice Setting

This is a very spacious and comfortable home in the quaint setting of Government Camp. The house is well equipped and was very clean; our group really enjoyed our time. The only item worth noting is the unusual height of one of the beds that is in a primary suite upstairs - it's incredibly tall and could be very difficult (if not impossible) for some people to get into and/or out of safely. Climbing into bed is literal in this case! Just a heads up for people who may have mobility issues and/or are on the shorter side.

Beautiful property - terrible property management

The house is wonderful. The location is great. Wish there was a hot tub in the back. The master bed on the top floor was incredibly high above the ground - definitely worried about getting off the bed in the middle of the night and breaking an ankle. Not the best for accessibility. Otherwise the home is well equipped and furnished. Note to owners - change your property mgmt company! Vacasa was unreachable from 3-6pm on Friday when we were trying to check in. They provided us the code for the lock box but there was no key inside. Thought it was a scam because I couldn’t get a hold of Vacasa property manager for over two hours. Was on hold for over an hour after multiple dropped calls. Eventually they gave me the housekeeper’s lockbox code which did have a key inside. Should just convert all the locks to a keypad lock so you can enter the code and easily get in. We had a whole group of 7 people stuck outside in the snow on the front drive way for over two hours waiting to get inside. There was no way of getting in touch with anyone. No other information or contacts nearby. I was very close to booking a room a the best western bc it was getting so late in the night. We missed afternoon skiing (had lift tickets and lessons booked) because of this. There needs to be a contingency plan if there’s no physical key inside the lockbox and also a way to reach the property managers or owner of the home.
