Welcome to La Maison Enchantée, a home of 120 sqm in the center of Goult village, renovated in 2019 to the highest standards. Air Conditioning / heat throughout. It is located in the center of Goult village, on a quaint and quiet street and is steps to all attractions, shops (grocery, cheese, butcher and bakery) cafes and restaurants. Easy and ample free parking steps from the home.

The ground level is the kitchen and dinning room. This large room, 40 sqm, has original stone arches and walls/ceiling. It is anchored by a large antique Provencal dinning table and a comfortable linen sofa. There is a a beautiful French Lacanche oven/stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and Nespresso coffee machine.

The second level, 40 sqm, is the salon with wood beamed ceilings, overlooking the quiet village street. Here you can relax while watching a movie on a new 65" Big Screen Smart TV (Netflix ready, local TV channels included). The room has several chairs for lounging and a large oversized sofa. There is a built in bar with refrigerator/ice and a stocked library. In the center of the room is an original (non-working) fire place made of Menerbe stone. In addition to the oversized sofa there is a queen sized pull out sofa bed, perfect for children or guests.

There is a small bathroom just off this salon. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and new facilities for washing and drying clothes.

The third level, 40 sqm, has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The large master bedroom has a queen sized bed and overlooks the quiet village street. The smaller second bedroom has a queen sized bed. The bathroom has a toilet, sink, large rain shower and towel warmers.

There is easy access from the third level to the roof top terrace with amazing views over the village of Goult, the Luberon and Bonnieux. This is a wonderful spot to enjoy a glass of local wine at the end of the day while taking in the sounds and sights of the Luberon.

Goult is an historic village situated in the Parc Naturel Regional du Luberon. It will be especially enjoyed by history and nature lovers alike, and even more so by wine lovers. Restored with the utmost care, Goult has many beautiful buildings made of stone and ochre and there are numerous hiking trails originating at the top of the town. Cycling in this area is world class - quiet roads and beautiful scenery of the wine country.

Very Important: Please note, the home has 3 levels and some of the stone carved stairs have an irregular height. They add to the charm of the Provencal Village home, but could be difficult if you had mobility issues. There are iron handrails for your safety.

Goult is located in the center of the "Golden Triangle" of Provence / The Luberon, surrounded by Gordes, Menerbes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, and Rousillon. All a short distance from Goult.

Just what we pictured when we set out to find a quiet little village perched on a hilltop in the French countryside! Very quiet, yet only steps from the baker, fromagerie, charcuterie, and cafes and the 14 July celebration. Easy access to all the other iconic hilltop villages. The historic sites in Goult itself were well marked and easily explored by foot. The house is well appointed and great for cooks. We felt like it was home. Herve was very helpful especially when our arrival time kept changing because of train stoppages. He took the stress out of everything! We would love to return to this cozy place!

Great place to enjoy Goult

We have been visiting Goult for some years and it is a special place. Not flashy but with everything you want in Provence. Good food, good places to socialise. 4 restaurants, a great épicerie, a great boulangerie, a fromagerie and a boucherie. The house is ideally placed to enjoy all that is is just as it should be. A special word for the host, Hervé from Immo Goult. We had a problem with our car and he took us to the right place in Apt to get it fixed. Above and beyond the call of duty, you might say. Much appreciated.

The Enchanted Cottage

Lovely house, well renovated and furnished with a sophisticated sensibility. Well equipped kitchen. 2 comfortable bedrooms, one bath with a great shower and another with washer/dryer. Wonderful views from the roof terrace. Goult is a lovely quiet town with 3 great restaurants and 2 other OK ones, plus a genuinely good pizza place. The one thing to be aware of with this house is that there’s a lot of going up and down steep stairs - can’t be helped, with this kind of town house. Thank goodness one bathroom is on the same floor as the bedrooms! A great stay.

Ideal location

Goult is the ideal place to stay if you have a car. So many beautiful locations within a 30 minute drive and this home for the week was perfect. We had everything we needed and right in the centre of the village. The stairs are a bit of a nuisance but they are the only negative. Loved it.

Magical Village Stay

What a magical place this is. Everything is well equipped. We enjoyed cooking breakfast in the kitchen and walking less than 2 mins to an apertif every night. I would recommend this property.

Mother/daughter trip

My daughter and I had a four night stay in this lovely accommodation. The listing was very accurate in every way. The location was perfect and charming with all the amenities we needed within a very short walk. Perfectly located in the Luberon area. Would absolutely stay here again.

Cosy place.

Pleasant, well equipped base from which to explore the local area. Even mid September it is still busy so you need to be on top of restaurant bookings. Finish the day with a Ricard on the roof terrace watching the sun go down over the hills, perfect.

An absolute treasure

We cannot express how much this special home added to our week in the Luberon. It was perfect in every way - location, charm, amenities, comfort. We loved the town of Goult and hope to return next summer. The town is the perfect size for anyone wanting to experience the Provençal life without feeling over run by fellow tourists. The home is so lovely and charming and added so much to our experience. Loved being minutes away from great restaurants, grocery, and patisserie. The gorgeous and well equipped kitchen made eating in a treat. We enjoyed the rooftop patio watching a moonrise over the mountains and a sky full of stars. We have been fortunate to have travelled a great deal and this was one of our most special destinations. Thank you so very much for a week we will treasure forever.

Great village location and modern comforts

Great service and support from Herve, good AC, washer AND dryer, two refrigerators, comfortable bed and best location imaginable. With a bad knee the spiral stairs to the multiple levels were uneven, high and precarious--and unknowable from the photos. But with care and railings navigable. Very pleasant kitchen with all amenities. Enjoyed a great deal.

All the old world charm without the crowds

We stayed in this lovely home in Goult for 12 days. It’s a charming and quiet village, but has all you need—wonderful bakery, great small grocery, cafes and shops. It’s also a perfect place for day trips to several of the other charming hilltop villages in the area. The rooms are large, and having screens on the windows was a huge plus—fresh air without mosquitos! The home is on three levels, plus the rooftop terrace, and the spiral stairs are a little steep, but the hand rails really helped. Great kitchen, large tv with Netflix and other streaming services was nice. The owner and the host were both great, responsive and helpful. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

Vraiment une Maison Enchantée

Nous nous sommes sentis très à l'aise dans la maison de Gilbert qui est meublé de bon gout. La cuisine était très bien équipée. C'est vraiment une belle maison. L'emplacement est superbe avec des magasins et des restaurants à proximité. Goult est un lieu magique. Nous n'étions certainement pas là pour la dernière fois.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt

Das Haus war sehr geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Schön war auch, dass hilfreiche Artikel wie Klopapier, Salz, und mehr großzügig vorhanden war. Wir konnten sehr gut schlafen, da die Umgebung wirklich sehr ruhig ist und auch die tolle Küche hat zum Kochen eingeladen. Das absolute Highlight für mich war die Dachterrasse mit der tollen Aussicht. Kleine Probleme wurden von dem Inhaber Gilbert und dem Manager Hervè umgehend behoben - nochmals vielen Dank! Uns persönlich war das Haus aber im unteren Wohnbereich zu dunkel und die vielen Treppen (bis zur Dachterrasse im 3. Stock) haben uns etwas gestört. Wer aber eine typische, urige Lage in einem wunderschönen provenzalischen Dorf sucht, ist hier sicherlich optimal aufgehoben. Goult ist ein Traum und bietet wirklich tolle Möglichkeiten für einen entspannten Urlaub. Unser Urlaub war

Perfekte Lage

Das Stadthaus in Goult hat viel Charme und ist aufwändig restauriert worden, in der Ausstattung fehlt es an nichts. Man merkt, dass der Eigentümer möchte, dass man sich wohl fühlt. Die Lage im Ort ist perfekt, wenige Schritte zum Bäcker, Schlachter, Käseladen und einem Dorfladen, der für die tägliche Versorgung alles hat. Auch viele schöne Restaurants befinden sich in Goult, das sich noch einen lebendigen Dorfcharakter bewahrt hat. Die Kommunikation mit Hervé, dem Verwalter vor Ort, war sehr gut und fürsorglich. Das Parken auf dem nahen Marktplatz war ohne Probleme (kniffeliger höchstens am Donnerstag, da ist Markt, also kein guter Abreisetag…). Die Treppe im Haus empfanden wir recht gut begehbar, aber auch steil, sie wendelt sich über die zwei Etagen hoch, wie in einem alten Glockenturm. Die Dachterrasse erreicht man über eine weitere Treppe aus Holz. Wir haben im heißen Sommer etwas vermisst, dass das Haus tagsüber keinen Aufenthalt für draußen ermöglicht. Auf der Dachterrasse war es uns dann viel zu heiß, umso mehr haben wir ihre Romantik aber abends und nachts genossen mit Blick auf den Sternenhimmel, die umliegenden bunten Hausdächer und die angestrahlte alte Mühle.

Excellent Stay in a Beautiful House

We had a superb stay here during our week in Goult. The house is just as pictured, with a very well stocked & functional kitchen for cooking. Goult is a good base for the Luberon Valley. Parking was just a short walk away from the house & never a problem. We’d gladly return.

Maison enchantée, village enchanté

We stayed at a maison enchantée for a week and couldn't have been happier. Hervé communicated with us every step of the way and was incredibly help before, during and at the end of our stay. The house could not be more charming, is very spacious (more than the two of could use, even) and is very well equipped. After staying the previous week in a part of Provence where we needed a car to do the smallest errand, we relished being steps from all the stores (grocery, cheesemonger, bakery, tabac) and many wonderful cafes and restaurants. People staying in other towns came to Goult in the evenings to enjoy its excellent restaurants. We explored other, more renowned hill towns and were always so happy to leave the crowds behind to return to our peaceful little Goult and the enchanted house. Abundant free parking nearby just made everything easy.

We enjoyed the house and Goult itself. The stairs were a bit challenging at first but we learned to manage them. The rooftop terrace was enjoyable in the early mornings and after the sum went down. Saw the Super Strawberry Moon.

Paradise in Provence

A beautifully decorated and well appointed and equipped house in the lovely village of Goult. Well positioned close to shops, restaurants and local sites. The house is very spacious including two separate living areas. This is a recently renovated traditional house so be aware that the stairs could be a challenge to the less mobile.

Et charmerende hus i en smuk lille by. Huset levede fuldt ud op til vores forventninger - og alle faciliteter fungerede tilfredsstillende. Eneste minus var, at tagterrassen var lidt for lille til fem mennesker, som vi var. Den var umiddelbart beregnet til to - der var to stole.

Excellent - Very Happy with this Rental

This holiday rental is on the one of the most beautiful roads in the village, very peaceful and quiet. The neighbors across the road spend a lot of time maintaining a beautiful flower garden in front of the house. We sat in the kitchen and looked out as if we were in a beautiful park. The house is very special and very clean and designed with a lot of attention to detail. The owner Gilbert, and Manager Hevre are very helpful and have provided everything you need to make you feel comfortable. The kitchen is beautiful and well equipped and the living room on the second floor is very spacious and comfortable. We spent a lot of time there.. The views from the roof top terrace are enchanting. Overall, it is a very ideal holiday house in a beautiful village with easy proximity to many other villages and shopping in the area. We will rent again and highly recommend it.
