"Clean safe hotel"

"Quick drive to anything you could want. Room and area was pretty clean and the front desk was helpful. Breakfast was a little lacking, but at least there was one. We were unfortunately there for the week when they decided to update their Internet service so that was a bit of an issue considering my husband works from home. "I got there about 11pm and it took a few rings of the bell for them to come out and check me in. Once I got my key, I had to drive to behind the man building and it was kind of hard to see because there were no signs or street lights. Once I got into my room I was hit with an overwhelming smell of fabuloso cleaner. This is usually a sign of a clean space but it felt overkill for the room to still be so untidy. As someone with sensitive lungs this REALLY made it hard to sleep. I ended up having...

"All staff were excellent. Issues were with the property, that has a 4 star ranking. No room service, no included breakfast, parking charges, $20 for a glass of wine in downstairs bar, overpriced restaurant on top level, cheap uncomfortable pillows, housekeeping upon request, hot water in the shower after leaving on for 10-15 minutes, no microwave, no minibar, two very small drawers, no turndown service, bathroom sinks do not drain properly, room temperature will not go below 66 degrees....

"The room looked to be remodeled with new floor, new bathtub surround, new sink, new mirror, new toilet, new TV stand and TV. Mattress was not comfortable for me. The phone in the room did not work. Housekeeping was zero. Bath, hand and wash towels were present at check in. No housekeeping on the second day. Had to get clean towels from the front desk. The third night I had to find someone in housekeeping to get clean towels. The room was nonsmoking but obvious it had been smoked in. I reported...

"The Spartanburg Marriott is a lovely place in great condition with high end finishes in the common areas, a convenient parking garage on site, clean and comfortable rooms and a helpful staff. We've stayed multiple times, for one night at a time, when passing through the area. It's worth the short drive from the interstate to stay in a place that is quiet and welcoming. We'll be staying there again, and again."

"Took three different room tries to get us in a room. First room we were to be in was having an ozone treatment. Second room had not been cleaned thoroughly. Third room which we finally stayed in had a disconnected fire alarm and no nozzle on the water connector. I took a picture of this. Tara who was working the front desk was excellent in trying to help us. She said management was going to offer us a discount but haven't seen it come through yet. "
