"Melissa and Bob are the most gracious and helpful hosts. We spent 3 months there to escape our home state winter. Acres of land to explore. Great bass fishing. The dogs are very friendly. The horses Roy and JR, and the donkey Jack are a hoot. All very friendly. Still can say enough about Melissa and Bob, wonderful people. "Absolutely loved! Perfect get away for your family huge acres fenced in, dogs are aloud. My favorite part was the girl on the porch. The kids loved roasting marsh-mellows and just enjoying the good out doors with out any wifi in site. Highly recommend!! Billy the kids grave is 20 mins away in Hamilton, TX! We will be back especially at open raffle season , book for stay while your in town hunting! "

"Wonderful stay at this property. We stayed during the week and no others were staying at the cabins during that time so we had access to the full backyard. The lighting was great there at night, had many lights outside to make it easy to walk out there to look at the gorgeous night sky. Comfy seating as well. Bed was good! "We had a wonderful girls weekend at the Peaceful Country Retreat with my best friend and her two daughters. The house was perfect and very spacious and lots to keep the kids entertained without having to leave the house for the weekend. We caught so many good size bass and enjoyed cooking out and enjoying the back porch and the scenery. Kelly was very responsive and helpful when needed we can't wait to come back! "
