"The room was very clean and tidy, and the view was fantastic, the floor to ceiling windows gave us a very good view of the sea and the Abbey. The best room we have had after the upgrade."

"116room has lovely new decor but 114 looks tired with old traditional furniture in it which should be got rid of as it brings the whole feel of the room down and with the size of the room I think a bigger bed would make a good statement in there .. breakfast was ok but more seeds and fruit would be nice ."

"Cashed in some one key points for night away . Took the scenic route from Gateshead and visited Richmond , Aysgarth Falls , Grassington and Thirsk on the way . Had a couple of beers in the beer garden , freshened up then a gorgeous meal in the orangery. So glad we had booked as they were turning people away ! The staff were excellent- friendly , courteous and attentive. Lovely relaxing night away , helped by the English heatwave ."

"Very clean rooms, love the free water, tea, coffee and milk ect. Great they give a doggie rug for the fur baby and leave a toy. Love the feel of the place , friendly.. free coffee machine, dog treats, water and ice daily in the lounge and sometimes a cake. Staff are friendly and helpful. Easy to book online and check in. Parking is now £4 per day with a scratch card from the hotel for council parking. Used to be included. Great area for all amenities and beach. Stayed a few times and will return...

"Decor amazing…all finished to a high standard. Facilities were amazing. Comfort was unreal. Best power shower I’ve ever been in and we travel regularly. So chuffed with it we have booked to go again next month! "

"Staff very friendly. First night we arrived dining room wasn't open due to staff sickness, however young lady offered us sandwiches or pizza off the menu. Bar well stocked. Lovely place with awesome views of rolling hills"

"Amazingly friendly welcome. Heading up to the room through a fog of cigarette smoke did not bode well, but, happily, the room was immaculate. Service was second to none. Free parking in market square roght outside the hotel was a great bonus. Will definitely return to The Leven. "
